Easter at Holy Name

Holy Week at Holy Name
‘It’s Easter Time - Let’s Celebrate’ was this year’s theme at Holy Name based upon the written
version ‘That We Might Live’ by Anne Frawley-Mangan & Michael Mangan. Traditionally Easter is
a very important time for Christians around the world as they prepare themselves for the death
and rising of Jesus Christ. This was no different at Holy Name. Each class was given a dramatic
presentation including a song to prepare and perform. The beautiful Preppies began the
presentation with a depiction of why Easter is important to us. It is because of holidays or
chocolate eggs or the arrival of the Easter Bunny? Certainly not. The students of Holy Name did
not disappoint in getting the message across. The Easter story was told with an amazing sense
of reverence, respect and meaning for all, including the many hundreds that were witness to this
spectacular event. As each child looked up towards their peers, they were in awe as each
character spoke with tremendous confidence and precision. The amazing leaders all the way
down to the Preppies had the audience eating out of the palm of their hands.
Congratulations to all the Holy Name teachers who were involved included Mr. Brendan Redinger
(APRE) and Mrs. Rachel Coggin for their tireless efforts in preparing the students and the
running of the day. Well done to all!!!
