OUR STORY
Noront Resources ( TSXV:NOT ) is a Canadian-based mining company
with the largest land position in the Ring of Fire, an emerging multimetals area located in the James Bay Lowlands of Northern Ontario.
The Ring of Fire is the term for the circular-shaped, mineral-rich region coined by Noront
founder and Johnny Cash fan, Richard Nemis. It covers 5,000 square kilometers and is
considered one of the largest potential mineral reserves in Ontario.
Noront’s flagship project is our 100-per-cent owned Eagle’s Nest deposit, which is the largest,
high-grade nickel sulphide discovery in Canada since Voisey’s Bay. Noront also has outright
ownership or controlling interest in the Black Thor, Blackbird, Black Label and Big Daddy
chromite deposits and the McFaulds copper-zinc deposit.
Our vision is to create a multi-mine, multi-metals company in partnership with local First
Nations communities. Our immediate goal is to advance the Eagle’s Nest project and
establish commercial production within three years of permitting. In addition, we are
exploring our 84,000 hectare Ring of Fire land package and advancing a strategic plan for
development of the chromite assets.
FIRST IN THE RING OF FIRE
We believe that
development in the Ring
of Fire can progress quite
rapidly as long as industry,
government and First
Nations communicate, find
common ground and move
forward together.

DEVELOPMENT IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL COMMUNITIES
We are moving forward with our development goals in conversation and partnership with
local communities, including First Nations. We strive to be an industry leader in developing
mutually beneficial relationships with Aboriginal communities.
Noront is providing opportunities for training and education, employment, procurement,
business development and community investment. An example is the establishment of the
Ring of Fire Aboriginal Training Alliance (RoFATA), in partnership with the Matawa First Nations’
Kiikenomaga Kikenjigewen Employment and Training Services (KKETS) and Confederation
College of Applied Arts and Technology in Thunder Bay. This innovative program is providing
skills-based training for Aboriginal people who are interested in working in the mining sector.
We are engaged in ongoing, sincere and forthright communication with local communities
about our projects. We meet regularly with First Nation Chiefs and Councils and have had
numerous town hall meetings and open houses in First Nation and local communities. Meetings
are held and written materials are supplied in English, Ojicree and Cree.
The Noront team has spent considerable time working with local communities to understand
their concerns regarding the potential impacts of our projects. From those discussions, we have
redesigned our Eagle’s Nest project to address specific concerns about water, tailings and local
economic needs.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Sustainability and social responsibility are fundamental to mining successfully in the Ring of
Fire. At Noront, we have a deep understanding of the exploration potential in this area, and
through partnership and collaboration we are becoming experts on how to do business in
this prolific mining region from both technical and social points of view.
We engage with and listen to local communities and our Eagle’s Nest project design reflects
their input. We have also developed strong, long-lasting relationships; people know who we
are, what we stand for, and can trust us.
With an exceptional land package, world-class deposits, excellent exploration potential
and a first class management team, we believe Noront is well-positioned to lead the
development in the Ring of Fire.
