APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONS
USE ALONE AS A CONTACT SPRAY ON LAWNS, GOLF COURSES, AND OTHER TURF AREAS:
Dilute 2 to 8 ounces of Mariposa per gallon of water (use lower rates for maintenance and higher
rates for active infestations) and apply at a rate of 2 gallons per 1000 square feet or until area is
thoroughly wet.
MOUND DRENCH METHOD - FOR CONTROL OF ANTS
Dilute 2 to 4 ounces of Mariposa per gallon of water. Spray a four-foot circle around and including
each mound until thoroughly wet. For best results apply in the cool temperatures of the morning or
evening, but not in the heat of the day if temps are high.
OUTDOOR YARD OR BARRIER TREATMENT:
Dilute 1 to 3 fluid ounces of Mariposa per gallon of water. Treat harborage areas such as shrubbery
and vegetation where nuisance insects may rest. Shrubbery and vegetation around stagnant pools,
marshy areas, ponds and shorelines may be treated. Repeat as necessary.
FOR AUTOMATIC MISTING SYSTEMS OR ULV SPRAYERS:
Mix ½ gallon (64 fluid ounces) of Mariposa into 55 gallons of water. For high populations of
nuisance insects or when treating species that are difficult to control, mix 2 gallon (256 ounces) of
concentrate in 55 gallons of water (2 to 5 oz. per gallon of water).
AGRICULTURAL USE INCLUDING SOD FARMS:
Use alone as a contact spray. Dilute 16-64 oz./acre of Mariposa and apply at a minimum of 50 GPA.
