Lumpur is home to 200 retail outlets,
including some of the world’s biggest
brands. With a mixture of food,
fashion, jewellery and speciality stores,
it attracts a huge number of visitors.
During a recent refresh of the centre,
it was decided that a new hand drying
solution was required to replace paper
towels and warm air hand dryers.

“Paper towels were creating a lot of mess,
which was very unsightly,” explains
Marcus Quah, Facilities Manager.
“The heated hand dryers were also costly
to maintain, requiring frequent service
and replacements for the heater, circuit
board and motor. But most importantly,
they were very inefficient and consumed
a lot of energy.”

On top of the problems that Marcus had
with running costs and environmental
impact, the current solutions were also
being mistreated: “We had instances of
abuse and vandalism, which escalated
the cost of repairing the hand dryers.”
