FOURTH GRADE NEWS
Reading/Writing
This week we began reading the story Shrewd Todie
and Lyzer the Miser. As we continue to progress
through the story, the students will use words to
describe the different characters.
Please keep up with the reading logs. Students
should be reading 20 minutes each night.
Math
We just finished up our unit on multiplication. Next
week we will begin our next unit on division. Students
will be using words like divisor, dividend and quotient.
Please continue to practice multiplication facts as well
as division facts.

March 18
States Fair
Wow! The presentations have been
absolutely fantastic! We can tell that the
students are truly invested in their states.
If you child still needs to give their
presentation please make sure that they are
practicing at home. If they need to practice
after school please let us know.
This coming week, before break, we will be
giving the students their show boards and
their pictures for their show boards along
with a set of directions. We will mat their
pictures at school.
Play
Our school play was fantastic! Our students are so
wonderful! On Friday, the children enjoyed watching
the play at school! Thank you so much for coming out
to support our school and our children! Without you
we could not have done it!
Class Store
We would like to have a class store this coming
Thursday March 24. Students are aware that we will
be having a store. They may participate in the store
by purchasing items with their Sherman Dollars or
Bender Bucks. Students are encouraged to have
items to sale but this is not required. This should be
a fun experience!
