Light
All living things
The children will learn how to recognise
that light appears to travel in straight
lines. Use the idea that light travels in
straight lines to explain that objects are
seen because they give out or reflect light
into the eye. Explain that we see things
because light travels from light sources to
our eyes or from light sources to objects
and then to our eyes. Use the idea that
light travels in straight lines to explain
why shadows have the same shape as the
objects that cast them.
We are comic book makers. Using many
different comic making software both
online and offline. Children realise how
quickly and easily they can make and
publish something of quality. Children also
realise how easily an online resource can
often be used effectively harnessing work
done without the rigmarole of signing up
for numerous accounts.
The children will learn how to identify and

circulatory system, and explain the
functions of the heart, blood vessels and
blood recognise the impact of diet,

The children will explore these two classic
poems. They will sketch portraits and
images from these poems. They will
develop their mark making and sketching
skills.
Pupils will learn about physical
characteristics of rainforests, including
their environmental regions, key physical
and human characteristics. They will also
learn about the location of important
rainforests in the world.
