Learning Targets:
“I can locate information on a timeline.” “I can put in order the events that happened on a
timeline.”
Students will find the dates and events on a timeline. Students will put events in correct placement on
a timeline.
Math
Learning Targets:
“I can complete Unit 3 skills and standards.” “I can name similarities and differences of two
polygons.”
Students will complete Unit 3 math test showing their proficiency in the skills and standards of Unit 3.
Students will compare and contrast two polygons and name characteristics that are the same or
different.
Writing
Learning Targets:
“I can use different sentence beginnings in my stories.” “I can explain why using different
sentence beginnings make my story my enjoyable to read.”
Students will use a variety of sentence beginnings while writing a personal story or research article.
Students will tell that a variety of sentence beginnings make the story sound better.

Social Studies: “I can identify a past Explorer and create a presentation about their journey.”
Students will research on the history of the beginning of the US by finding important information that
pertains to their Explorer.
Science: “I can present information about a biome.” “I can explain important facts about a
biome.” Students will learn about biomes around the world through research in books, the internet, or
an expert and share information from a display board created by the students. Students will be
sharing information they learned about a biome of the world with a small group.
*Many students still do not have all their school supplies. Please make sure you send them as soon as you can!
**Students need to be at school by 8:00 a.m.**
*Mon. - Thu.: School dismissal is 3:10 p.m.
*Fri: School dismissal is 12:06pm

November 23rd: ½ day of school dismissal at Noon – NO Lunch served
November 24-25th : NO School Thanksgiving Break
November 30th : Photo Retakes
December 8th: Milwaukee Public Museum Field Trip
