Seven Sides to a Scientist
Purpose: To research a scientist and determine his or her role in scientific advancement.
Choose a scientist that you would like to research.

Research sources: Encyclopedias, Books, Magazine/newspaper articles, Credible Internet sites (Wikipedia is not
acceptable and Google is not a site!!!) Works cited page should be completed in NoodleTools.
Collect your information on the research worksheet. These are guiding questions/statements that can help in the collecting
of information about your scientist. Do not limit your information to the questions on this page.
Guidelines: If you find what your scientist discovered, but you do not understand it, then you need to look it up!! You need
to be able to explain what your scientist discovered or developed.

Guidelines
1. Use colored paper, cardstock, construction paper to create and cutout your hexagons. All hexagons
must be the correct size.
2. Use tape to attach the hexagons together. Put the tape on the back of the hexagons!
3. When writing information about your scientist (hexagons 2, 3, 5 & 6), use complete sentences. Writing
must be in ink, or you may type up your information and glue it on to the hexagon.
4. Do not write the numbers on the hexagons. You must put the information in the correct hexagon.
5. Be Creative!!! Use color, pictures, backgrounds, etc. Be Neat!!
6. It is important to follow directions. Review your rubric to see how you will be graded.
