10 Easy Steps For A Great Reebok
Spartan Race Experience!
1. Once you arrive at the race venue, proceed to the
“WAIVERS” tent located near the entrance to the Festival
Area.
2. Fill out and sign your Participant Waiver.
3. Find your Bib number located at the Bib Number Wall.
Write it on your waiver.
4. Proceed to the “REGISTRATION” tents with your Waiver
and Photo Identification in hand. Choose the lane with
the number sequence that matches your Bib number.
5. Pick up your race packet from one of our awesome
volunteers.
6. Loop the yellow wristband through the timing chip and
attach it to your wrist.
7. Keep your bib number as a souvenir.
8. If you choose, drop your stuff at the “BAG CHECK” tent
for safe-keeping. Bag Check is $5 per bag.
9. Head into the Festival Area, look for the “START” signs
located within Festival.
10. Prepare for Glory!

ATHLETE START TIME BLOCKS will be posted on
Wednesday, August 3rd.
BIB NUMBERS will be posted by Wednesday, August
10th.
Click on the Bib Info tab to find your exact start time
block. Enter your email address and press FIND to
search for your start time block and bib number. Write it
down. Your BIB Number will be used to find your race
packet when you arrive on Race Day.
Print the Reebok Spartan Race Waiver located under
Important Documents.
Fill out the waiver completely and bring it with you along
with one valid form of ID.
EVERY RACER MUST SIGN A WAIVER & SHOW A
VALID FORM OF PICTURE ID!
DO NOT FORGET YOUR PHOTO ID!!!
RACE DAY REGISTRATION FLOW
NOTE: Race Day Registration prices will reflect the current pricing online.
NOTE: Show up at least 2 HOURS prior to your Heat Start Time at the parking
lot.
Saturday: Onsite registration OPENS at 5:00am and CLOSES at 2:00pm.
Sunday: Onsite registration OPENS at 5:30am and CLOSES at 12:00pm.
STEP 1: With your Signed Waiver, Bib Number, and PHOTO IDENTIFICATION in
hand, proceed to the REGISTRATION TENT.
** If you DO NOT have your Waivers or Bib Number, you can locate these at the
WAIVER/ BIB NUMBER tents.
STEP 2: Find the registration lane with the number sequence that matches your BIB
number.
STEP 3: Participants will hand race waiver to one of our awesome Volunteers in the
Registration tent. Waivers and ID will be checked to verify identity before
packet is received.
STEP 4: You will receive:
• Race Bib (Take home as a souvenir!).
• Spartan Headband with Bib Number- please wear headband during
race so we can recognize your bib number.
• Wristband with your Start Time Block. All Racers MUST run during
their designated start time block. This wristband will get you into
the start corral and serves as your ticket to get your finisher shirt.
Please keep it on until you have received your finisher shirt.
• Loop the yellow strap through the timing chip and attach it to your wrist.
STEP 5: Once you have your race packet and headband, proceed into the Festival
area.
STEP 6: BAG CHECK. Clear plastic Spartan Bags are available for you to place your
items at Bag Check. All items must fit inside the bag provided. It will be
marked with your headband number. Go to the lane at Bag Check that
matches your headband number. Once you finish the race, you’ll need to
show your headband to claim your bag. Bags will only be returned to
individuals whose numbers match. Bags can be checked for $5 per bag.
Limited space is available for oversized bags for $10 each in the OVERSIZE
lane.
Saturday & Sunday: Bag Check tent will open at 5:00am and CLOSE when
the last racer picks up their bags

Weekend Event Page or at the Bib Number tent near the entrance to the Festival.
If you have any problems with your registration, please come to the “Race
Day Registration” tent and we’ll help resolve it.
TRIFECTA AND MULTIPLE DISTANCE RACERS

Racers who are racing multiple distances will pick up their first bib packet at the
registration tent. Additional race packets will be stationed at the Multi-Race
Trifecta Tent near Bag Check.
After completing the first course, getting your medal and t-shirt, Trifecta Racers
will exit the finish line (timing chip will be cut off at the finish line) and head to the
Bag Check tent to pick up their second bib packet.
Trifecta Racers must put on their next distance timing chip, your new
course wristband, a special SILVER wristband that identifies you as a
Multi-Race Racer, and headband before beginning the next distance. Use
your old headband to access your bag in bag check and show your new
headband for the new number for your bag!
To begin the next course, racers must pass back through the start chute (you do
not have to wait for a heat to begin, as long as you are within the correct distance
start block, – just show your silver wristband and GO!).
ULTRA BEAST RACERS
Mandatory Packet Pickup: (ULTRA BEAST ONLY)
• Friday, August 12th from 2:00pm-6:00pm in the Registration Area.
• All Ultra Beast racers MUST pickup their race packets on Friday between 2:00pm6:00pm.
Mandatory Gear: (checked and required at Ultra Beast Transition Tent)
1. QTY 1 Working headlamp, see HEADLAMP AND GLOW STICK CUT-OFFs
listed below.
2. QTY 2 glow sticks with means of attaching them to your person (see HEADLAMP
AND GLOW STICK CUT-OFF)
Recommended Gear:
1. Extra headlamp batteries (note we said a “working” headlamp is mandatory)
2. A means of carrying at least 32oz of water
3. Electrolytes
4. Calories
5. Appropriate gear given the weather. SUN SCREEN
6. First Aid Material (Elites – no outside assistance permitted)
Gear Drop /Transition Tent (ULTRA BEAST ONLY):
Racers must check into the Transition Tent Saturday from 5am-6am. Racers ONLY will
be allowed to place their race gear. No personal items are allowed here – use Bag
Check. Racers will be required to show their working head-lamp, glowsticks, and
hydration system in order to race. The Transition Tent will be located at the far end of
Festival past the finish chute. There will be a staff member checking you in from 5-6am.
1. Checked gear must fit into the provided clear Spartan bags and labeled with your
race number. You will get these with your packet.
2. You will be able to access your gear after completing your first lap and before
starting your second. Each lap must be completed with everything you take onto
the course to start the lap.
3. A porta-potty is located at the Transition Tent as well as garbage cans.
4. You will be required to have your headlamp and glowsticks with you in order to
leave for your 2nd lap.
5. FIRST LAP: You must sign in at the Beast HQ (half way through Beast) No time
cut-off for your First Lap check in at Beast HQ.
COURSE CUT-OFFS
These Cut-Offs are in place for the safety of our racers, staff and volunteers. Race
Leadership reserves the right to modify these and add additional cut offs as appropriate.
In creating these cut offs, it was our goal to allow all racers to experience as much of the
course as possible before being removed from the course. Please note that all mileage
is estimated and that the obstacle/location is the more critical factor.
Saturday, August 13th (ULTRA BEAST)
• 1:00pm: All Ultra Beast racers must be signed in and exited the Transition tent
area by 1:00pm in order to start a second lap. Any racer who has not left the
Transition tent by 1:00pm will be considered a DNF and your chip with be
removed.
• 5:00pm: Beast HQ 2nd Lap - you must be signed in and past this location in order
to continue on the course.
• 8:00pm: The course closes. Any racers remaining on course at 8:00pm will be
removed from the course for their own safety and will be considered a DNF and
their chip removed.
• 8:30pm: Festival Closes
Saturday and Sunday, August 13th-14th (BEAST)
• 5:00pm: Beast HQ- you must be past this location in order to continue on the
course.
• 8:00pm: The course closes. Any racers remaining on course at 8:00pm will be
removed from the course for their own safety and will be considered a DNF.
• 8:30pm: Festival Closes
HEADLAMP AND GLOW STICK CUT-OFF
Saturday and Sunday
• 6:00pm: ALL Racers must be wearing their headlamp (turned on) and their two
glow sticks “cracked” and attached to their person.
PLEASE COME PREPARED! These will not be sold at Festival or near
the race!
COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
Terrain: Your race will start in an open meadow in the hot Hawaiian sun. Soon, you
will shoot up the valley into the dense tropical jungle of the tropics. There will be mud,
streams, rocks, thick jungle, heat, humidity, and climbing. LOTS of climbing with
slippery rocks, Extreme inclines and declines. Wear shoes and clothing you don’t mind
throwing away. (in trash cans, of course!) Dri-Fit doesn’t work in Hawaii. “Arm Coolers”
are just sweat sponges. Have good sun screen, electrolytes or salt tabs, and hydrate
the week before your race! Your views will be amazing, your new Spartan Friends will
be for a lifetime, and your memories will be unforgettable.
Special Gear: Racers should plan to bring appropriate fuel for their needs. No fuel will
be provided on course, only water. Hydration packs (or water containers of some
variety) are strongly suggested for all racers and REQUIRED for Beast and Ultra Beast.
Please note that shoes with spikes are not allowed.
Water Stations: As always, Spartans come prepared! All racers should be sure to bring
extra water and energy fuel if needed. There will be water stations on course and one at
the Finish Line. You can bring a water bottle or hydration pack with you and take as
much water as you'd like at each station, but if you use our disposable cups, please take
only one at each station and refill it.
EVENT TIMING
You will receive a Chip Timer ($40 value) and yellow wrist strap to record your time and
results. Chip Timer must be fastened around wrist in order to record your finish time
properly.
Upon completion of the race at the Finish line, pick up your medal, finish line snack,
drink and shirt. Then drop Chip Timer and wrist strap into buckets at either side of the
Finish Line Exit.
Finisher Times will be posted at the Results Tent near the Finish Line and will be on the
Spartan Race Website as quickly as possible.
OFFICIAL SPARTAN RACE FINISHER SHIRTS
2016 Finisher Shirts can be collected at the finisher shirt tent after you’ve completed the
race. Wear it with pride; you’ll have earned it! Show your race wrist band (red, blue,
green, or gold) for your shirt and they will remove that wristband for you. Make sure you
have your medal before you remove that wristband! No wristband, no shirt/no medal!
AWARDS
Sunday: Awards and Coins will be handed on our Sunday to our top Elite Men and
Women for the Sprint, Super, and Beast.
• Coins will be handed out on-site.
• Awards will be mailed from Spartan HQ upon verification.
• Approximate start time: 12 Noon at the Stage.
FREE RACE PHOTOS
Your FREE Race Photos will be available approximately one week after the event. The
link to the photos will be on our Hawaii Trifecta Weekend Event Page RESULTS page
on our website, and will be emailed to each participant. Stay tuned for more updates!
KIDS RACE

Each finisher will receive a finisher’s medal and Kids Race Shirt.
Registration for the Spartan Kids Race at Hawaii event will be at the Kids
Registration tent. Due to safety concerns, their names will not appear on the bib
numbers board, but rather our staff will have a list of these names at the Kids
Registration tent and bib numbers will be assigned then. The parent/guardian
accompanying the child must show a valid photo ID in order to pick up the registration
packet.
Please make sure to bring Cash or Card if you are planning to register on-site.
HURRICANE HEAT
Friday Afternoon Hurricane Heat: 1:00 PM
The Spartan Hurricane Heat gives runners the chance to meet and run with the
Founders and staff of Spartan race in a unique and memorable way. Held on Friday
afternoon, both on and off the Spartan Race Course, the goal is to finish as a team. no
timing chips, no clock, just a Spartan-style workout that represents what our company
and our athletes are all about…getting up when you’re knocked down and finishing what
you start.
Successful finishers earn Hurricane Heat dog tags, a Hurricane Heat Wedge, entry into
our closed networking group, a finisher t-shirt, and the chance of a lifetime to find the
Spartan finish line as a Hurricane Heater.
The 2016 Hawaii Hurricane Heat will take place at 1:00PM, Friday, August 12th and will
last 3+ hours.
Remember: You don’t want to be late.
NOTE: All Hurricane Heat participants MUST arrive at the designated parking
location by 12:00PM or earlier. Don’t be late! All registered Hurricane Heaters will
receive parking instructions via email on Wednesday, August 10th.

Parking is $10 per car - Cash only. Pay when you park. If you have a pre-purchased
parking decal, please display that on your front windshield on the drivers side.
SPECTATORS
• Please print the Spartan Waiver from the Hawaii Trifecta Weekend Event Page
and bring a Photo ID to the Spectator Tent on race day.
• Anyone entering the festival MUST fill out a Spartan Race waiver
• Food (BBQ and healthy options) and drink will be for sale (please bring cash).
• DJ & Emcee entertainment all day.
EQUIPMENT & CLOTHING
• All participants are encouraged to bring a change of clothes, shoes, and a plastic
bag. You are going to get wet and muddy!
• Shoes with spikes are not allowed.
FOOD & BEVERAGES
• Food and beverages will be available for sale so please bring cash.
• No outside food is allowed other than race nutrition.
• Absolutely no alcohol on ranch property. No exceptions.

SPARTAN INFORMATION
• ALL CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES.
LEAVING YOUR CHILD UNATTENDED WHILE YOU ARE RACING WILL
RESULT IN BEING PULLED OFF THE COURSE AND ASKED TO LEAVE.
• No pop-up tents are allowed in the festival. Tent space is reserved for Sponsors.
• No coolers or glass bottles allowed on property. Security staff will check for them
as you enter.
• Utilize the Trash bins throughout the Festival area! Do NOT leave shoes, socks,
trash on the ground. Do not leave muddy shoes in the parking lots! Spartans are
not pigs!
• If you wear a GoPro, please make sure your contact information (name & phone
number) is somewhere on the camera. If you lose the camera on the course, this
is the only way we are able to identify it.
• You must have a Photo ID to check in. Racers ages 14 and older can
participate in the adult’s race. Those under 14 are encouraged to join the Kids
race.
• Please DO NOT call venue with questions! Our Hawaii Trifecta Weekend
Facebook Page is your best source for up-to-date information. Please check
back early and often.
• Drink plenty of water before the race and come prepared!
• Get a good night’s sleep. This race is no joke...
INCLEMENT WEATHER
In the event of inclement weather such as lightning, tornadoes, hurricanes and the like,
Spartan Race reserves the right to eliminate obstacles, select portions of the course, or
cancel the event in order to ensure the safety of racers, volunteers and staff.
As always, weather can be unpredictable. Please come prepared for heat, humidity, and
powerful sun with passing soaking showers.
