Dear Parents/Carers, Welcome to Year 6. We hope you have had a fantastic summer break and are looking forward to the academic year ahead. We look forward to all of the exciting things planned for this year, details of which can be found below. This term we have the brilliant opportunity to split the year group between Miss Holloway, Mrs Sanders and Mrs Howard for their English and Maths lessons in the morning. These mixed ability small groups will allow targeted, quality teaching, ensuring rapid progress for your child. They are not set on ability or behaviour. Year 6 is an important year for your child. Not only is it their final year with us at BVS, but they sit the compulsory Standard Assessment Tests (SATs) in May. If you would like to come and see us feel free to catch us between 8:40-8:45, although if a long discussion is needed please make an appointment at the office.
