ReAct 761 has also found wide acceptance in a variety of structural bonding applications due to its versatile performance capabilities. ReAct 761 provides high tensile strength while maintaining excellent product flexibility. This results in tough durable bonds with outstanding impact and peel resistance. Temperature resistance from 40C (-40F) to 204C (400F). ReAct 761 is a single component adhesive used in combination with Hernon EF Activator 59 or EF Activator 63 for curing at room temperature. The adhesive may also be heat cured at 150C. • Autobonder 2511 • Autosealer 5250 • Autocoater 2111 INDUSTRIES SERVED Aerospace, aviation, automotive, electrical, electronics, appliance, defense, ammunition, marine, engineered plastics, heavy equipment, maintenance, energy and utilities, industrial assemblies, medical device assemblies, composites Similar Products: • ReAct 727 • ReAct 730 • ReAct 761 • ReAct 766 • ReAct 767 • ReAct 783 • ReAct 784 • ReAct 72531 • ReAct 65482 HERNON.com 866-554-4005 INTERNATIONAL: +1 407-322-4000 TOLL FREE: 121 Tech Drive Sanford, FL 32771 (407) 322-4000 Fax: (407) 321-9700 www.hernonmfg.com ISO 9001 Registered High Performance Adhesives and Sealants Technical Data Sheet ReAct 761 December 2009 Page 1 of 3 Typical Properties (Cured) Product Description Hernon ReAct 761 is a tough acrylic adhesive designed primarily for bonding permanent magnets. ReAct 761 has also found wide acceptance in a variety of structural bonding applications due to its versatile performance capabilities. ReAct 761 provides high tensile strength while maintaining excellent product flexibility. This results in tough durable bonds with outstanding impact and pee1 resistance. Product Benefits • High impact and shock resistance • Good gap filling capabilities Property Value Hardness, Shore D, ISO 868 70 Tensile strength at break, N/mm² (psi), ASTM D638 17.9 (2600) Tensile modulus, N/mm² (psi), ASTM D638 950 (138,000) Typical Curing Performance ReAct 761 is designed to be used with EF Activator 59 or 63 and cured at room temperature. Cure characteristics are measured by determining fixture time (handling time) and speed of cure. Fixture Time Fixture time is defined as the time to develop a shear strength of 0.1 N/mm². Fixture Time, ISO 4587, Steel, with EF Activator 59 on 1 side. • High temperature resistance Gap, mm Fixture Time, minutes • Excellent adhesion to a variety of surfaces 0.05 ≤3 • Consistent rate of cure in 60º to 100ºF 0.25 ≤ 15 • Consistent bond strength 0.50 ≤ 30 • Eliminates need for mechanical clips • Requires minimal clamping time • Room temperature cure, eliminates high cost of energy needed for heat cured material Cure Speed vs. Substrate The graph below shows the shear strength developed with time on steel lap- hear specimens, tested according to ISO 4587 (EF Activator 59 applied to one surface).
