Position Summary:
ECHO seeks a Bilingual Program Coordinator (English-Spanish) to join our ECHO Central
America/Caribbean Regional Impact Team. The Program Coordinator works closely with the
Team Leader to maximize training and networking opportunities such as conferences,
workshops, and seminars. Handles all incoming and outgoing communications both in
English/Spanish. Assist with the editing and formatting of published materials and translations in
both English/Spanish.
What You Will Be Doing:
1. Coordinate the planning, promotion and implementation of training and networking
events (conferences, workshops, and seminars).
a. Plan and implement logistics related to events with vendors in Central America
and Caribbean region.
b. Provide onsite coordination of events.
c. Collaborate on and manage budgets for events.
d. Assist in locating and procuring materials, equipment, etc. needed for the
successful implementation of events.
e. Communicate with staff and participants regarding details of events and trainings.
f. Assist and oversee management of finances for events.
g. Promote upcoming events through ECHO Community and other venues.
h. Provide a welcoming and helpful environment for participants.
i. Coordinate follow-up and assessment after events.
j. Reflect on event details/evaluation and brainstorm for future event opportunities,
according to the need of the network, with ECHO staff.

2. Handle incoming and outgoing communication to the CA/C team in a timely fashion,
including e-mail, phone calls, faxes, letters, and personal visits, clearing priority items
to the CA/C Director as appropriate.
3. Maintain the financial records of the ECHO Central America/ Caribbean Region in an
accurate and timely way. These responsibilities include:
a. Coordinate with ECHO Director of Finance to maintain receipts and monthly
bookkeeping records for ECHO CA/C expenses.
b. Oversee billing and invoicing for online purchases.
c. When appropriate, record grant funding and produce necessary grant reports.
d. Communicate and work closely with finance regarding credit card purchases.
e. Complete annual PCI Compliance Questionnaire.
4. Produce published materials for ECHO CA/C.
a. Edit, format, produce, and disseminate ECHO CA/C reports and knowledge
materials.
b. Assist with the translation of ECHO CA/C knowledge materials into Spanish.
c. Actively maintain, update, and improve the ECHO CA/C elements of
ECHOcommunity.org.
5. Perform other duties as directed by the CA/C Team Leader.
Requirements:
1. Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
2. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
3. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing (English/Spanish) using business
vocabulary.
4. Must be proficient in computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
as well as the willingness and desire to become proficient in QuickBooks and InDesign.
5. Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, network members,
and third-party vendors.
6. Must have excellent time management skills and strong interpersonal skills.
7. Availability to travel out of the country and work some evenings and weekends for
special events.
8. Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift up to 30 lbs. frequently.
9. Must subscribe to and wholeheartedly affirm the ECHO Statement of Faith or Apostle’s
Creed and possess character traits consistent with ECHO’s core values.
Desired Skills:
1. Experience in working in a non-profit environment preferred.
2. Experience in working in education and event planning is a plus.
3. Experience in translating documents from English to Spanish preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation will be determined based on experience and skills. ECHO offers a comprehensive
