“Astounding Namibia at its very best”
Diverse Namibia is a true adventure, taking in this vast country from Sossusvlei dunes to the Namib Desert, the
Atlantic coast to the ancient Damaraland plains and Etosha’s wildlife.
This Exploration takes in the soaring red dunes of Sossusvlei, the life-filled blue Atlantic Ocean, the desert and denizens
of Damaraland, and the plains game and predators of Etosha National Park. As we journey between destinations the
spectacular landscapes are revealed, completing this fantastic adventure.
Highlights:
• Exclusive accommodation in private reserves and concessions and private access to Sossusvlei
• Activities include game drives, scenic walks and visiting ancient rock engravings at Twyfelfontein
• Track the rare desert-adapted elephants, following ancient paths to their freshwater springs.
Wildlife
Desert-adapted wildlife at Kulala and Damaraland is fascinating, with particular focus on elephant at the latter. On
the Atlantic coast, dolphins, pelagic (ocean-going) birdlife, and Cape fur seals, leatherback turtles, southern right and
humpback whales may be encountered.
Ongava Game Reserve features almost all of the Etosha’s characteristic wildlife, with plains game such as springbok,
gemsbok, wildebeest, Burchell’s zebra, Hartmann’s mountain zebra, red hartebeest, giraffe, eland and endemic blackfaced impala seen; Etosha itself has elephant to add to the list. Lion and both black and white rhino are present. Birding
across the country is excellent.
Kulala Adventurer Camp | Sossusvlei
2 nights
Kulala Adventurer Camp is comprised of semi-permanent well-ventilated dome tents with a mini verandah (maximum
of two guests per tent) on a slightly raised wooden platform, covered in shade cloth.
Wooden beds with mattresses, crisp linen, duvets and pillows plus towels and amenities (soap, shower gel and
conditioning shampoo) are provided. In addition, there is a coir mat (inside) and a 12V reading light. The tents are large
enough to stand in and move easily. The canvas-wrap open air en-suite bathroom (zip door) is accessible through
the rear of tent and has a flush toilet, basin and shower – with hot and cold running water available whenever guests
require.
The aim at these camps is to provide a simple, yet comfortable and serviced, camping experience. Hurricane lanterns
and a good campfire light up the evening camp. Delicious meals are prepared around our campfire by our safari staff,
creating a great atmosphere. The dining area, with dining table, metal director chairs plus bush-style stainless steel
place settings and drinks glasses, is under the stars (although we erect a bush dining tent in the event of sporadic rains),
adding to the ‘camping wild’ feel.

The Hansa Hotel | Swakopmund
2 nights
The Hansa Hotel - nestling in the very center of the charming little town of Swakopmund, wrapped in the shape
of a timelessly classical building dating from 1905, and integral part of Swakopmund’s architectural heritage, offers
you a feeling of being enveloped in a luxurious and sophisticated hospitality with a satisfying blend of both classic
atmosphere and truly elegant interior, matched with friendly and personalized service.Accommodation
Luxury accommodation, friendly personal service and stunning views over Lake Malawi combine to make Pumulani
the perfect African beach lodge.
Dutch architect G. Hooft Graafland designed each of the ten villas individually adapting them to their own unique
location to ensure they blend harmoniously into their different surroundings. The gently curving lines of the very
spacious villas reflect the patterns and movements of the lake along with the interior design, which is directly inspired
from the surrounding nature.
Each villa has a large bedroom, which opens out onto a private deck where early risers can enjoy the morning’s first
rays.

Andersson’s Camp | Ongava
“A modern-day eco-retreat on Etosha’s doorstep”
2 nights
Family-friendly Andersson’s Camp takes its name from Charles Andersson, the Swedish explorer who first ‘discovered’
the Etosha Pan. Set in the private Ongava Game Reserve, Andersson’s Camp looks over a large waterhole which
attracts plenty of thirsty wildlife and is complete with a hide for up-close photography opportunities.
This former farmstead has been tastefully rebuilt to modern-day standards and combines comfort with eco-friendly
living. The old farmhouse forms the main area of Andersson’s Camp with 18 elevated tents, including two family
suites, radiating outwards into secluded mopane woodlands. Tents are a mix of calcrete stone cladding, canvas and
wood, with a small veranda.
Highlights
• The Ongava Reserve is famous for its good populations of both white and black rhino
• The world-renowned Etosha Pan is in easy driving distance from this camp
• Andersson’s waterhole hide is ideal for photographing a plethora of wildlife
