researched and compiled by UNC Charlotte graduate students Susan King
Amador and DeOnna Gray, both enrolled in the Translating and Translation
Studies (TTS) track of the Master of Arts in Spanish. The project was completed
under the supervision of Dr. Michael Scott Doyle. The list, always a work in
progress, will be updated periodically. It is provided as a basic resource to assist
students of translation at UNC Charlotte in identifying possible job opportunities
when searching for work in or related to translation. Translation has many other
related areas of potential employment as well, such as bilingual publishing,
editing and proofreading, translation evaluation, and many other jobs that require
bi-literacy as well as bilingual and bicultural knowledge and skills.

- Interns will have completed their undergraduate studies in a relevant discipline
(i.e. economics, law, political science, international relations and shall have
completed at least one year of their post-graduate studies.
- Minimum age for interns is 21; maximum is 30.
- Interns are paid daily, including weekends and holidays, but WTO does not pay
for travel expenses to and from Geneva Switzerland.
- The WTO may also employ unpaid interns funded by external resources.
- Internships generally last up to 24 weeks, depending on the needs of the division
