Annaka
The city of Annaka is where Mt. Myogi, one of the Jomosanzan
mountains, is situated.
Along with Mt. Akagi and Mt. Haruna, the
Jomosanzan are the three most well-known mountains in Gunma. It is
also surrounded by such beautiful landscapes like the Joshin’etsu
Highland National Park, Mt. Arafune, the Saku Highland Quasi-National
Park, and the Usui River. Mt. Myogii is very rocky, and you can see that

even from a distance. It’s also a scenic spot to view colored leaves in

the fall. At Myogiko or Lake Myogi, you can enjoy rowing a boat or
fishing. Usuiko or Lake Usui reflects different colors of the leaves on its
surface as seasons change. You can row a boat or fish here, too.
Annaka offers many different environments in which you can refresh your
body and mind. Isobel Onsen is another one of the many attractions
Annaka offers. If you are a fish lover, check here.
Isobe Onsen
The spa resort is famous for being the place where the map symbol denoting an Onsen was created.
There is a monument for that. Because of its convenient location in terms of road traffic, Isobe Onsen
attracts visitors throughout the year. Meguminoyu Day Onsen has a sunaburo, or sand bath facility.
The usual large indoor and outdoor baths as well as the foot bath are also available. This facility was
built in 1996 and is barrier-free, so it attracts many visitors both young and old.
