IB Friends – Mentoring with Eastridge Students
On December 3 and 4, students from Eastridge will visit again during QRT.
These meetings are called “IB Friends” and will meet four times throughout
the year. They will be discussion-based and allow the Eastridge and EIMS
students to share skills necessary for success as related to the IB learner
profile. The students will also have a chance to practice some of the AVID
strategies that they have learned such as Philosophical Chairs or Socratic
Seminars.
Our goal of IB Friends is to provide the background knowledge and support
needed to complete the Community Project required in 8th grade. The
culminating experience for MYP is a Community Project which will allow your
child to experience service learning and take action in our community. More
information will be shared as your child continues their education at EIMS.
