We are going to do as many committee appointment recommendations as we can. Administrators and faculty are already asking about who is going to be represented there. We also need a longer discussion on campus council and what we want that to look like. Update on first year elections; all seats competitive. Campaign as vigorously as you want to following building codes. Report on the summer budget changes. All campus budget committee made a series of recommendations to the cabinet to meet this years budget and the cabinet acted on it. Over 80% of what we recommend was enacted. Change in cable. Contract ends with free cable after December. Change of cable means saving one staffing position. Students can still get cable, they just gave to purchase it. Renewal for college readership program expired this summer. I did not feel comfortable renewing it and spending thousands of dollars on it without your approval so I let it expire. That means there are no papers on campus right now. We should listen for the feedback on campus; is the service missed or a good saving. The last budgetary change is that SGA is entering this year with a little over $100,000 more than expected.
