So that we are not overwhelming the family, a schedule has already been established for delivering meals to Pastor and Mrs. Downs. During his recovery time we ask that you feel free to call Mrs. Downs prior to visiting and also you may send cards and words of encouragement via their new address of 39 New Pond Lane. Please continue to pray for the family as they provide the necessary continued care needed to aid in his healing. CHURCH OFFICE Just a reminder, if you need to contact the Pastor during his recovery time. We ask that you contact your assigned deacon instead, or contact the church office. Just a reminder the office is opened Tuesday through Friday, between the hours of 9am to 2pm. We will make sure to assist you the best way we can. CONTRIBUTION STATEMENTS The final contribution statements for 2012 were mailed out early this week. We hope that you have received them by now and have gotten the opportunity to review them. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the office so that we can address them for you. We also ask if you did not receive a statement and would like one, please contact the church office also, so that one can be sent to you. GETTING WARM BY THE FIRE It’s cold outside and Sunday school attendance has been declining. For the month of February, why not make a new commitment to start your Sunday worship with a small fire- Bible study. It is a great opportunity to get the family involved. There are classes ranging from the youngest to the young at heart! Sunday school is a great way to start off your time of worship on Sunday morning. LADIES!!! Let’s start getting the word out! The ladies have started plans for the Womens’ ‘Stay at Home’ retreat for 2013. Our theme this year, “A Cozy Mountain Lodge- where women find shelter in God.” We are looking forward to this cozy getaway on Friday, April 19th and Saturday, April 20th. This year we are asking the ladies to join us with a new retreat mission project. We will be focusing on our local homeless shelter. Each lady is invited to donate a $5 to $10 Shoprite gift card. These donations will help our local shelter provide meals to those who are in need. So, join together ladies and start spreading the word. There will be more details to follow in the next few weeks!
