PROPER set loading for the Alaris® Pump Module

Loading the Administration Set – Clinical tip sheet
1. Adjust the roller
clamp to
gravity prime
the infusion set.
When fully
primed, stop
flow by
moving the
roller to the
closed position.
3. Lower the set upper fitment into
the receptacle.
7. Close the door by grasping the
Alaris® Pump Module’s housing.
Ensure that the door is
unobstructed.
4. Position the safety clamp near
the recess in the Alaris® Pump
Module.
Ensure the tubing is not twisted.
Warning: Do Not Touch the set tubing
or upper fitment while closing the
door. Failure to follow this instruction
may result in infusion rate inaccuracy.
8. While holding the door closed,
gently lower the door latch.
9. Open the roller clamp and begin
the infusion.
5. Press the safety clamp into the
recess in the Alaris® Pump
Module.
2. Hold the set
upper fitment
above the
receptacle at
the top of the
Alaris® Pump
Module.
6. Press the tubing into the
air-in-line sensor located just
below the safety clamp.
