Wrens Elementary 4th Grade
MEEC field trip has been changed to all 4th grade going on Nov 2.
WE ARE STUDYING…….
Social Studies: We will learn about the American
Revolution. We will study the events that led up
to the revolution, battles of the revolution, and
people.
Math: We will continue building our knowledge of factors, multiples,
and patterns. We will begin learning about the properties of
multiplication and how to solve multi-digit multiplication using area
models and/or distributive property. Please continue to work with
your child on their basic multiplication facts.

Writing Focus – Narrative
Word Study List: (Test November 15, 2016)
Monarchy – Government ruled by a king or queen.
Succession- The order in which people will become king or queen.
Ceremony – A fancy event with a specific set of rules.
Scurrying - Moving quickly like a mouse.
Coronation- A ceremony where a king or queen gets their crown, to
show that they are officially king or queen.
Heirs – People who inherit wealth.
Taxes – Money that people pay to government so that the
government can do its work.
