Go Fish: Part 1
Introduction
There are no exaggerated stories more than Fish tales. Fishing is a part of our American heritage.
Most of us have been fishing at some time in our lives. Some of us love it. Others of us don’t have the
patience for it.
For the next 4 weeks we are going to talk about a different kind of fishing. It’s the kind that matters
most to God. Please don’t let your discomfort keep you from engaging in this series. It’s vitally important for your life the people who God has placed around you.
Discussion Questions
1. Do you like to fish? Did you fish as a child? Who took you?
2. When you first hear about this topic of “fishing for people” what is your reaction?
3. What are some bad examples of evangelizing you’ve seen in the past? What is your reaction
to this when you see it or experience it?
4. Do you think those methods are effective? Why?
5. Who came to your mind when you were asked to write the note of appreciation? Why that person?
Have you delivered the note to them?
6. What are a few ways that a relationship with Jesus has improved your life?
7. Who are some people in your life right now who don’t have a relationship with Jesus?

End the night together by praying for the courage to engage in this series and for the people in your
life who don’t have a relationship with Jesus yet.
