Rental Rate Includes:
- Loss Damage Waiver: zero deductible
- Secondary liability insurance required by state law
(in effect if personal liability of renter is not
available; AVIS covers: up to $100,000 per incident,
up to $50,000 per person, up to $25,000 per
property)
- Unlimited miles
- One way fees as applicable
Road / Dempster Highway / Silver Trail Highway
Mayo-Keno / Atlin Road / Robert Campbell Highway
Additional charges:
- Additional driver: $13 per day (except spouse – no
charge for spouse)
- Additional Liability Insurance: $13.95 per day
(provides primary 3rd person party liability up to
$1,000,000)
- Late return charge: 1/2 of daily rate, per hour up to
2 hours (60 minute grace period)
- Fuel charge: $8-10 per gallon if not returned with
full tank
- GPS/Navigation System: $13.95 per day
- Any applicable one way fees must be re-paid
Vehicle Depot Locations:
All of the above are payable locally; taxes apply to
the US$ prices shown; fees subject to change.
Loss Damage Waiver (LDW):
- LDW does cover tyres and windshields
- LDW does not cover any towing charges, this is
renters responsibility – all broken or damaged cars
have to be returned/towed to nearest location
(towing charges can be up to $8000 depending on
destination)
- LDW does not cover theft, fire and damage
caused by negligent driving
- Police report must be obtained in the event of
Collision/Loss Damage
Rental Age & Drivers Licences:
- All drivers must be 21 years or older
- All drivers must hold a major credit card in his/her
name to rent and drive the vehicle
- All drivers require a valid drivers license in English
language (International Drivers License not
required)
Road Restrictions:
Avis vehicles may not be driven on the following
unsealed roads:
Top of the World Highway and Taylor Highway may
only be driven on between Tok and Dawson City
with LDW being in full effect and on condition that
all accommodation has been pre-booked in
conjunction with the vehicle.
