August 5 is Relay for Life is THIS Friday, August 5th from 6:00-Midnightat the Civic Center. The
Survivor and Caregiver Dinner is Thursday at 6:00 at the Baptist Church. Please support this

August 20 is the Rotary Twilight 5k Run and Walk. See Chair Derek Taylor to sign up to help or
run in the event.
Last Meeting
July 26, 2016
Last week we had a rather shocking program and got a display of the use of Tasers.
Highlands Police Chief, Bill Harrell introduced Detective Derek Jones from the Macon
County Sheriff’s office. After Detective Jones gave us history and facts about Tasers, we got
a demonstration. Highlands Master Officer Josh Greenley was Tased as part of his
certification for itsuse. A big thank you to all our men and women in blue.
