Volunteer wellness nurse, Klein Life senior day program (Center City), 2016 Planning Committee, Arch Street United Methodist Church Health Fair Member, Health and Wellness Advisory Committee, 2006‐2015 Candidate Statement: I bring to PSNA a unique background of business, nursing and community service. I have worked as a nurse for over 20 years, and in that time, I have developed a skill set that I believe can promote the profession of nursing and strategic goals of PSNA. As an educator for over 10 years, part of my responsibility is to socialize students to the profession of nursing. To help them gain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to becomes advocates. Advocates for their patients, themselves, and the profession. I continue that socialization to our new to practice nurses in the nurse residency program at TJUH where I help them develop their professional identity. Part of the professional identity is belonging to professional organizations. Helping nurses realize they have a voice.
