Preface
Chandigarh International Airport Limited (CHIAL), a joint venture company incorporated
under Companies Act, 1956 by Airports Authority of India (a Government of India Enterprise)
in association with Punjab Government through Greater Mohali Area Development Authority
and Haryana Government through Haryana Urban Development Authority to operate and
maintain Chandigarh International Airport which is coming up with a new state of art
International Airport at Mohali, Punjab. The new International Airport is expected to become
operational by the end of May 2015.
Chandigarh, the Capital City of two states (Punjab & Haryana) and also Union Territory
reflects a perfect fusion of the ancient and the modern Indian culture with Cosmopolitan
flavor. The Chandigarh city and its satellite town like Panchkula, Mohali etc. being Gateway
to Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir has evolved as the epicenter of
economic and political development of North India. It is among one of the fastest growing
cities in the Country with reasonably high per capita income.Chandigarh is also the hub for
tourists who wish to explore the north of India.
The New Chandigarh Airport at Mohali is likely to have footfalls of about 1.5 Million
Passengers during the F.Y. 2015-16 with the capacity to accommodate about 05 million
passengers annually. The new airport is all set to be one of the biggest and busiest Airports in
the North India with International Connectivity as well. This would give innumerable business
opportunities in and around the airport to serve and cater the need & requirements of
passenger & visitors and other stakeholders.
Towards the endeavor of CHIAL to come up with a world class Airport, Submission of interest
and application is invited from our potential business partners across different verticals of
Commercial Concession.

Submission of application in prescribed format for “Expression of interest for

The Fitout Consultant is required to prepare and submit the proposal for scheme of
fitout design of the designated area, in the Integrated Passenger Terminal
Building at Chandigarh International Airport.

Total Building Area : 53000 Sq Meters Approx
Planned Commercial Area : 3073 Sq Meters Approx
Target Commercial Area : 5000 Sq Meters Approx
The major services to be provided by Consultant are as follows:












Site evaluation and assessment
Interior Design space planning/ development and volumetric study,
including outside (City Side) Area.
Prepare a fit out manual, which would be the property of CHIAL, for any
future use.
Zoning/category mix planning with justification to suit and increase
passengers purchase/spent.
Kiosk/carts/ATM’s placement/identification of location to gel with the
aesthetics and recommend design criteria for same, including outside (City
Side) Area.
Architectural additions and alterations with justifications.
Design of fixed items of work, loose furniture and interior related civil work.
Specify material details to be used keeping both aesthetics and safety in
consideration.
Illumination design-Lux level parameters
Sound and acoustic design
Commercial signage’s(Advertisements) - location plan/fixing details and
recommendation on type of signage’s.
Develop Marketing Brochure of the concession area to be shared with

Selection of materials, equipment and other interior related elements.

services as attached in Annexure 1 at page no. 8to 10 of the EOI document. This is to
seek information/technical expertise so as to enable CHIAL analyze the same. Under
no circumstances, it will confer any right, interest or obligation on the part of CHIAL to
accept and/or consider the submitted information and/or claim any right for
consideration in the bids which shall be considered strictly in accordance with the
