Student Assistance
Counseling is available
free of charge, to all
students here at
Thompson Middle
School.

Students may be
referred to the
program by teachers,
parents, friends, staff,
or themselves.

Referrals may be
made anonymously or
confidentially.
You are not alone…
a Student Assistance Counselor can help!
What help is available?
Sometimes it helps to have
someone to talk to…someone
who really listens and will try
to understand you and help
you feel better.
Student Assistance Counselors
are specially trained to provide
support, help one explore
various issues and develop
healthy and effective coping
strategies together. They also
provide information and
assistance with getting one
connected to outside help if
needed.
They provide a safe and
CONFIDENTIAL place to talk
about many issues such as:

Anger Management
Grief/Loss
Eating Disorders/Body Image
Issues
Divorce/Family Concerns
Relationship Issues
Sexuality (Orientation/Identity)
Issues
Stress/Anxiety
Bullying
Depression
School Phobia
