To create a successful temporary art program to:
• Enhance Vista with a variety of unique original artwork
• Stimulate public curiosity about the art and artists
• Engage and educate visitors regarding the City of Vista, its
Public Arts Program, and the artists and their artwork.
Kites Over Vista Mission
The City of Vista’s Public Arts Commission created Kites Over
Vista as public, temporary sculpture exhibits. The exhibits
offer artists a unique opportunity to showcase their original
sculptures in downtown Vista. The goal of the “Kites” exhibit
is to promote artists and their work to residents and visitors
of Vista and assist in branding Vista as home of a significant
and dynamic collection of public artwork.
