2. What is your experience and knowledge of the European Youth
Forum?
My experience in the European Youth Forum, as board member of the Italian
National Youth Council dealing non formal education and International
mobility issues, is made by the participation in several COMEM assemblies
and Structured Dialogue process within attending two EU Youth Conferences.
Nevertheless, I was elected in the Italian Youth Council board just one year
ago, I catch all the challenges that my participation in such as Committee can
ensure.
3. What is your experience leader and management of youth
organisation?
Since 2010 I am in charge of different youth organizations, mostly based on
local and regional areas and since 2014 I have been elected as board
member of Youth Without Borders – Italian national and European youth
organizations network for International mobility, education and training.
In recent years, first as component of the General Assembly of Italian Youth
Council and then as board member, I have had the opportunity to participate,
learn and reflect on the limits and potential of Umbrella Organizations as
Youth Councils, to study and analyse phenomena and situations that relate to
the condition of youth, to confront and grow thanks to the continuous
contamination with all the associations that I met on my way. Issues such as
international cooperation and mobility, human rights, European citizenship,
active participation and the promotion of instruments such as the civil service,
social rights, lifelong learning and recognition of non-formal skills, the role and
the recognition of the figure of youthworker, the Mediterranean euro
cooperation and more generally the empowerment of young generations,
represent priorities of which i deal with.
4. What is your experience and knowledge of accounting and budgeting
(in order to oversee the execution of a budget of 3 million euros)?
Since 2014 I am in the board for the Project Manager Association dealing with
the budgeting issues related with this profession. Moreover, I managed more
than twenty European projects in the youth field (YiA program and Erasmus
+). As Project Manager I was in charge of research through calls for proposals
for projects to be submitted, the development of design ideas and budget
reviews. I have gained experience working on projects presented for the

the project manager of HORIZON 2020 project “S t e p b y S t e p” lead by the
Municipality of Cefalù (Pa), it is a 2 billion project.
5. What is your experience and knowledge in internal audit and advising
on financial issues?
I am taking the last exam for the Bachelor Degree in Economic Development
and International Cooperation at University of Palermo. The degree course
allowed me to form a professional profile in development cooperation work,
with a particular emphasis on the social and health cooperation, and for the
construction of peace processes and constructive conflict management. The
degree course addresses the various issues with a strong interdisciplinary
approach, related also with the advising on financial issues for non profit
organizations and Ngos. As president and project manager for several youth
organizations I work in the administration of the administrative and accounting
management, the organization of human resources, relationships with public
and private bodies as well as with the funding agencies of our projects. As
Project Manager I worked on internal audit and budgeting in relation with
some of the projects I was used to manage.
6. What is your vision of the role of the Financial Control Commission?
Transparency, quality of the valuation process and accountability are some of
the most important words I consider as the best work in the Financial Control
Commission. Ensuring an open vision and a continuing monitoring within the
committee activity will be my personal commitment. However, we can not take
the chance to imagine the development of these priorities as a process to be
able to cover using only the power of the individual person, it means that all
the financial committee has to be in strictly in contact with all the other internal
body and secretariat of European Youth Forum.
