Dinosaurs!

The celebration of Easter was so exciting for me to watch as our students
slowly learned the story of Jesus’ life! It was amazing to witness their compassion for Jesus during his days of suffering and then realize
that Easter is when Jesus came alive again! Across all areas of our
curriculum we have woven the theme of His resurrection including
kindercooking with “Resurrection Rolls” we made in class and then enjoyed together. I hope they shared the story of the Last Supper with
you at home as we re-created it in class the day before Holy Thursday
with grape juice and pita bread. Thank you so much for all your parent support at the Easter Party!
Dinosaurs!
During May, our students are going to begin investigating dinosaurs! These fascinating
creatures are extinct but we are going to bring them to life with our classroom learning!
We will be learning the difference between the plant eating and meat-eating dinosaurs.
We will practice reading using dinosaur pattern stories. We will be creating a “Dinosaur
World’ as a final project. Each child is asked to bring a few rocks, a few plastic flowers
and a few small plastic dinosaurs by Monday, May 29th! Our dinosaur worlds will be one
of our most exciting projects and the students will be thrilled to erupt the volcanoes
with baking soda and vinegar! The worlds do not last forever and sometimes-even mold!
Please don’t let your child tuck it under their bed and forget it!
