Innova 5.5.0 Release Innova 5.5.0 was released on September 30th with new, exciting features and added support. Following are the release highlights. For further information on the release, please contact us at [email protected]. Innova OEE Release Highlights l Innova Overall Equipment Effectiveness l Transfer Hub l Support for Pluto Poultry StreamLine l Standalone Labeling Innova Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) uses the OEE industry standard to deliver the four vital production equipment KPIs: availability, performance, quality and overall utilization. Runtime information is picked up from the production lines in real time, providing an instant view of the current health of production. With Innova OEE it is simple for line operators to provide stop reasons for OEE losses with minimal impact on their normal tasks. That information can then be analyzed by production management with easy-touse dashboards and customizable reports to identify the main losses and decide on improvement actions to increase effectiveness. Coming up l Support for Trim Standardization Systems l Support for Flexicut Machines l Improved Support for TMS Systems l Order Processing on Graders Key Benefits l marel.com/Innova Records run-time data and production stops. With direct connection to the devices OEE related data is recorded together with process related data for combining data used in dashboards and reports. No manual input needed for collecting data. l l l l l l Minimal operator input needed. Information about why equipment has stopped is quickly provided using easy-to-use shop floor terminals. Supported platforms are: M6215, WPL9000 and Web browsers, including built-in browsers on M3210-based equipment such as MCheck2. Easy-to-use data editor. To manually manipulate OEE data, an editor is available. When changing data the effect is shown immediately. Quick installation. Support for OEE is quickly added to supported equipment with a standard configuration. Customization for matching the exact customer setup is possible. Real-time monitoring. Several dashboard components are available for real-time monitoring on desktop PCs and shop floor terminals. Reports for historical analysis. Collection of reports for analysis and to pinpoint areas for improvement. All reports can be customized using the Innova report designer. Equipment support. Native support for an increasing range of Marel equipment. Digital input support allows for connection to other equipment. MultiHead MultiHead (Pluto) Extra M6215 WPL WPL 9000 On device WPL9000 WPL 8000 Extra M6215 GROA / PL8 Extra M6215 Generic Line (Digital input) Instead of using an extra M6215, the Web-based operator screen can be used. It runs on most devices that contain a browser, such as third-party terminals, tablets etc. For devices that are not supported by Innova the Generic Line solution can be used. Currently, the Generic Line supports the GROA/PL8 module. The GROA has 8 digital inputs and is connected to Innova using Ethernet. The digital inputs of the GROA can be configured to: l l Supported Equipment l The following equipment has OEE support with this release. OEE support for more equipment will be added in later releases. Module Equipment Checkweighing MCheck2 M-Check 4700/4800 SensorX Operator input terminal Comments On device M3210 (WEB) Extra M6215 No alarm support G1000/2000/3000 Extra M6215 No alarm support SensorX Gen2 marel.com/Innova Extra M6215 For not natively supported devices Set the OEE Status using signals (Running, Idle, Failure etc.) Indicate alarms (Raise and lower alarms in Innova, will also affect OEE failure state) Perform counter registrations (good and bad items, throughput, product) l Includes data grid, report and dashboard. It is possible to use one GROA/PL8 for more OEE entities or use more than one GROA/PL8 for the same entity. Transfer Hub The Transfer Engine, which is part of Innova Integration Services, can be used to transfer packs and pallets between systems. This engine has been significantly improved to make it easier to configure and use. New features include: l l l l l Figure 1 Transfer hub used with multiple sites On a sender site an export is triggered either from a PDA or a Windows client. An export handler sends the exported data to the hub and an import handler polls the hub for indication of failure or success of the transmission. Notifications about export status can be sent to local users using the Innova Alarm system. Use of Transfer Hub instead of direct site-to-site transfers. End-to-end transmission status notifications. Use of standard export and import handlers. Transfers can be started from a PDA or IPC using unit operations. Support for industry standard XML format allows for integration with third-party systems. Possible to send product information via e-mail. A Transfer Hub allows multiple sites to send data through a single server. This reduces the amount of configuration required at each site. Each sending site pushes messages to the hub and all receiving sites poll the hub for new messages. The complete transfer history for all sites is stored on the hub, while each site locally stores a history of transfers into and out of the site. Figure 2 Sender site flow On a receiving site an import handler polls the hub for pending messages and imports any new data. After importing, the handler informs the hub about the success or failure of the import. Notifications about import status can be sent to local users using the Innova Alarm system. Figure 3 Receiving site flow Each site can be configured to be both sender and receiver, allowing packs and pallets to move back and forth between systems. marel.com/Innova Innova Stand-Alone Label Designer The Innova Stand-Alone Label Designer replaces the current Comformat Editor. The Innova Stand-Alone Label Designer exports the generated comformats to files; the files are then transferred to the WPL using a USB memory stick. Key Benefits l l l l l Uses the standard Innova Label Designer More products can share one label layout (Comformats) Products are maintained in the product maintenance form Automatic generation of group comformats if the product has more than one layout Figure 4 Stand-alone label designer Products are maintained In the Product maintenance form. In this form it is possible to assign a label design to each of the print heads available on the WPL. It is also possible to define other WPL-related values, such as label position, rotation and stroke length. Automatic generation of multi comformat if the product is an average weight product Supported Equipment The Innova Stand-Alone Label Designer supports the Marel Weigh Price Labelers in the 8000 and 9000 series and OCM 8500 and OCM 9500. Using the Innova Stand-Alone Label Designer The label designer is configured to create comformats by default. The properties for the comformat can be updated in the Properties pane to the right. These properties include all WPL-specific properties, such as the Label Action and Weigh Price Action. The label designs are exported to file and then transferred to the machine. marel.com/Innova Figure 5 Product maintenance form In the Product maintenance form is it also possible to see a preview of all labels that will be printed by the Weigh Price Labeler or the OCM. The preview shows both the Item and Pack labels. l l l Station infeed control. Innova sets the online state of a station on the line based on the availability of the station in Innova. The infeed state can also be controlled manually by the operators from the RT-220 terminal screens. Product buffers and discharge control are configured with the Line Output settings of the active Trimming program. Full QC support. Innova is notified about pieces coming from the line and will request pieces to be delivered to the appropriate QC station. If a piece is successfully delivered to a QC station on the line, the piece appears on the Innova Trimming QC station. Coming Up Figure 6 Label previews in the Product maintenance form It is also from the Product maintenance form that the comformats are generated. If one or more products are selected in the product list, and you click the Create Comformat button then the comformats are generated on the disk or on a USB memory stick. The directory structure used is the one expected by the WPL when reading comformats from a USB memory. During the creation process, all single, group and multi comformats are generated for either the item or pack. The process also saves any bitmaps used on the layouts to the disk or USB. Support for Pluto Poultry StreamLine Support has been added to the Innova Trimming module for the new Pluto-based Poultry StreamLine control software. The new control software has been designed and implemented to be fully compatible with the Innova Trimming module in terms of configuration and data registration. A Pluto-based StreamLine can therefore be connected to Innova and configured in similar way as other flowlines. All existing reports and control screens are fully compatible with the new Poultry StreamLine. Main features: marel.com/Innova The Innova development team is busy working on a number of new features and improvements for our customers, including: l Support for Trim Standardization Systems l Support for Flexicut machines l Improved support for TMS systems. l Order processing on graders.
