Street, Box 220 Phone—519-392-6854 Fax 519-392-8597 Together we grow, Together We Succeed As we enter the second month of our
school year it seems fitting that this month’s virtue is ACCEPTANCE.
Acceptance is welcoming and including
everyone as a child of God; each with
differing views, talents and beliefs that
bring value to our community life. Our scripture message that guides us for the month of October comes from Romans
12:5-6, “We are one body in Christ joined in
each other. So we are to use our different
gifts as God has given us.” Dear God, You are truly great, and have created all things out of love and
goodness. In this new month of October we ask that you help us to see
our unique qualities, characteristics, and gifts. For in Your eyes we are
all equal. There are no human superstars in the kingdom of heaven.
You have no favourites. We pray that you continue to lead us to be
welcoming, accepting people. Our Social Justice Group Led By Mrs. McBride Back: Kimberly, Rachael, Lily, Mrs. McBride Top: Cassandra, Ashlyn, Nikki, Gracie, Samira Our Student Council Back: Savannah, Mickayla, Austyn Top: Madi, Tristyn, Natalie The Social Justice Committee invites the students to participate in the We Scare Hunger Campaign for the month of October. For this campaign, we are asking for non-‐perishable household and food items to be donated. There are many different items which can be donated such as canned goods, toilet paper and toothbrushes, just to name a few. Mrs Campbell has challenged us to line the perimeter of the gym with donations. If we succeed, the whole school will get an extra recess for their generosity. Please help us reach our goal by bringing donations to your classroom so that together, we can SCARE HUNGER.! A reminder, school is dismissed at 3:15. Should you or a caregiver come to the
school to pick up your child at the end of the day, we ask that you please make sure the
office knows your child is being picked up. Our instructional time is very valuable so we
ask that you please wait until 3:15, unless you have an appointment. At 3:15, please
greet child/ren outdoors as this would ensure that classes are not disturbed before the
dismissal bell goes. If you need to get your child early for an appointment, please come
to the office and your child will meet you there. Reminder: Early Dismissal Wednesday, October 7, 2015 Classes dismissed at 1:15 p.m. Cross Country Run Cross Country- The annual cross country meet is scheduled for

Please Note—students who ride the bus to
and from school need a written note to the
office should they be changing their
routine, with the exception of a parent or
caregiver coming into the school to pick them up. They will not be allowed to walk to
a friend’s house after school etc. unless it is
verified in writing. Our number one
concern is for the safety of the children
therefore we need to know where they are
at all times. Those who ride their bike are
asked to please let the office know before
dismissal so their name can be marked off
the bus list.
