Presentposition Researcher (PhD)
Worktasks
Research and project management regarding stock
assessment, species interactions and population dynamics
under environmental impact, and method development
within data collection and analyses
Competences
I have substantial experience of leading and coordinating projects, also internationally. I have
thorough knowledge within the field of ecology, especially concerning fish in lakes and rivers,
including the Swedish large lakes. I have worked in connection with the EU Water Framework
Directive since 2001. Since 2008 I have worked with analyses of fish stocks and data collection. I
have long experience of counselling in management of fish stocks and inland fisheries to
governmental and regional authorities, non-governmental organisations, and fishermen. I have
good competence in statistics and database management including programming (SPSS, Matlab, R,
SAS, Microsoft Access, SQL-server) and GIS. I am creative, structured and analytic, and enjoy to
take on complicated tasks in a strategic and visionary manner. I like to present results both in
writing and orally. I am an attentive listener and good in communicating. I strive for development,
both in my work and personally.
Languages
Swedish and English – fluent
Dutch and French – good
German and Spanish – basic
Network
My international network comes from EU-projects, cooperation within Nordic countries,
standardization work within CEN as well as intercalibration of methods in connection to the EU
Water framework directive, the FAO, among others. My national network is based within
universities, county board administrations, the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water
Management, the Swedish Environmental Agency and other national and regional authorities, the
WWF as well as the fishermen’s organizations. Personal
I have one adult son and I am married. My hobbies are enjoying nature, sea kayaking, skating and
skiing, music, and literature. I am a kayak leader within the Swedish Outdoor Life Organization
(Friluftsfrämjandet).
