An Act to apply certain sums out of t h e Con­
solidated Revenue F u n d of N e w South W a l e s
t o w a r d s t h e Services of t h e Year 1899-1900;
and for Services to be hereafter provided for
b y Loan. [28th October, 1899.]
W
H E R E A S we Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects
the Members of the Legislative Assembly of New South Wales
in Parliament assembled, have resolved to grant to Your Majesty the
sum of Eight hundred and ten thousand five hundred pounds,
that is to say—
The sum of Five hundred and twelve thousand pounds, being
the sum required to defray the expenses of the various
Departments and Services of the Colony during the month
of November, or following month of the financial year
ending thirtieth June, one thousand nine hundred. And
The sum of Two hundred and ninety-eight thousand five hundred
pounds for the Services set forth in the Schedule hereto
annexed :
And whereas we desire to make good out of the Consolidated Revenue
Fund of New South Wales the sum so granted to Her Majesty : Be
it therefore enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and
with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative
Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the
authority of the same, as follows :—
1. Out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales
there shall and may be issued and applied for or towards making good
the supply so resolved to be granted to Her Majesty for the said several
Services, the sum of Eight hundred and ten thousand live hundred
pounds, of which the sum of Five hundred and twelve thousand pounds
is to be expended at the rates which have been sanctioned for the
financial year ended thirtieth June, one thousand eight hundred and
ninety-nine, subject to the rate of any reduction that may hereafter
be made in the expenditure of the year 1899-1900, and Two hundred
and ninety-eight thousand five hundred pounds for the Services
specified in the Schedule hereto annexed.
2. The Treasurer shall issue and pay the said sum for the
Services aforesaid in such manner and in such proportions as the
Governor, by Warrants or Orders in writing under his hand, and
directed
directed to the said Treasurer, shall from time to time order and
direct. And the payments so to be made shall be charged upon and
payable out of the Consolidated Revenue F u n d of the Colony.
8. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to time be
allowed credit for all sums of money paid by him in pursuance of such
Warrants or Orders. And the receipts of the respective persons to
whom the same shall he so paid shall he full and valid discharges to
the said Treasurer in passing his said accounts for such sums as
shall be therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same
accordingly.
