Dear Mom and Dad:
Just finished eating dinner, had fried chicken,
mashed potatoes, ~ tri ncr. b e a ns a n d ice cre am. The
food seems mu ch better - here lately.

He reconrnend e d that a derotation osteotomy of the
right humerus of ap proximately 45 de g:re e s be done.
He explained it to me this way, t h ey cut the big
bone in my upper arm and twist it outward 45 de~re e s.
H e thought that by doinp that I co~ld have much
better u s e of the hand because it would be a wav f rom
my body and that I could r,et it to my face, etc,
much easier. He thought that my hand would improve
in time but didn't think that mv should e r should be
touched. I wasn't completely satisfied wh en I left
his office bec a use . he had spent such R short time with
me. He looked at a couple of x-ravs and spent a

Went to a formal dance last ni ~ht, Lucy looked
very nice. I felv a little out of place, it was a
staf f party so there weren't many patients there.
About the only time one ever seesx a xii doctor
around here is when vou see them at a party.
Mom I'm think ing about com8ining vour birthday
with Mother's day a n d getting vou something that I
think vou reallv want. T 1 11 know for sure this week
just how lon~ it will tgke so dom 1 t be disapppinted
if you r birthday pres~nt arrives a little late.
Mv car is run ninp; much better with a new motor.
I have 20 0 mile s om this one. If the phone strike
doesn't end someone may have to bre~kdown a n d write
