Cut two 3” x 37 ½” width of fabric (WOF) strips.
Cut two 2 ½” x 25 ½” WOF strips.
Cut one 4 7/8” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into two 4 7/8” squares.
Cut six 2 ½” x WOF strips for the Binding.

Cut three 2” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together, end to end with diagonal seams, and cut two 2” x 48 ½” strips.
Cut two 2” x 35 ½” WOF strips.
Fabric I- Gray Skeletons

Cut five 4 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together, end to end with diagonal seams, and cut two 4 ½” x 51 ½” strips and two
4 ½” x 43 ½” strips.
Backing- Black Skeletons

Cut two 51” x WOF strips. Sew together and trim to make one 51” x 67” back.
Block Assembly
1. Place one 4 7/8” Fabric B square on top of one 4 7/8” Fabric C square, right sides together. Draw a line across the
diagonal of the top square (Fig. 1). Sew 1/4” away from each side of the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 1). Cut the two squares
apart on the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 2) to make two BC units (Fig. 3). Trim BC units to measure 4 ½”. Repeat to make
four BC units total.

Place one Fabric G-Template 1 triangle on top of one Fabric D-Template 2 triangle, right sides together, aligning the left
sides (Fig. 4). Sew the two triangles together along the left side. Press the smaller triangle open.
Place one Fabric G-Template 3 triangle on top of the Fabric D-Template 2 triangle, right sides together, aligning the
right sides (Fig. 5). Sew the two triangles together along the right side. Press the smaller triangle open to make one
GDG unit (Fig. 6). Trim to measure 4 ½” square.
Repeat Steps 2-3 to make eight GDG units total.
Repeat Steps 2-3 using sixteen Fabric G-Template 1 triangles, sixteen Fabric E-Template 2 triangles and sixteen Fabric
G-Template 3 triangles to make sixteen GEG units (Fig. 7).
Repeat Steps 2-3 using eight Fabric G-Template 1 triangles, eight Fabric F-Template 2 triangles and eight Fabric GTemplate 3 triangles to make eight GFG units (Fig. 8).
Sew one 3” x 37 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of the 20 ½” x 37 ½” Fabric A panel. Sew one 2 ½” x 25 ½” Fabric B
strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A panel. Trim the block to measure 24 ½” x 40 ½” to make the center
block.

Sew five GEG units, three GFG units and two GDG units together to make one strip. Repeat to make a second
strip (Note: the order of the units is different). Sew one strip to each side of the center block.
Sew two BC units, three GEG units, two GDG units and one GFG unit together to make one strip. Repeat to
make a second strip (Note: the order of the units is different). Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the
center block to make the quilt top.
Sew one 2” x 48 ½” Fabric H strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew one 2” x 35 ½” Fabric H strip to the top and
to the bottom of the quilt top.
Sew one 4 ½” x 51 ½” Fabric I strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew one 4 ½” x 43 ½” Fabric I strip to the top
and to the bottom of the quilt top.
Layer and quilt as desired.
Sew the six 2 ½” x WOF Fabric B strips together, end to end with 45° seams, to make the binding. Fold this long
strip in half, lengthwise with wrong sides together, and press.
Bind as desired.
