Euclid Middle School Reading 2011 2012 School 2013 2011 Total 48 53 56 49 A three-year summary of student growth using the Colorado Growth Model Grade 6 59 54 58 Grade 7 43 46 48 School growth rates are determined by combining growth percentiles from individual students. Growth rates for individual students are calculated by comparing their Colorado Student Assessment Program (CSAP) scores and Transitional Colorado Assessment Program (TCAP) scores in reading, writing, and mathematics over consecutive years. These individual growth scores are combined into a single number: the school’s median growth percentile. Grade 8 School Growth Summary Grades 6 to 8 Littleton 6 Higher growth schools can be distinguished from lower growth schools by comparing median growth percentiles. Higher median growth percentiles indicate higher growth rates for students in those schools, regardless of the school’s achievement. For example, a low-achieving school can show high growth rates or a high-achieving school can show low growth rates. The growth model determines the percentage of students in each school growing at a sufficient rate to catch up, keep up or move up through achievement levels—and those that are not growing fast enough. This summary presents all results for three consecutive years, making it easy to see if there is a trend in the data, and how this trend might be changing. In some cases it is useful to compare one group with another, such as boys versus girls, to see if a gap exists in the growth rates for different sub-populations at the school, district, or state level. 2012 District Median Growth Percentile 2013 2011 2012 State 2013 55 50 50 50 50 50 55 51 50 50 50 50 54 50 50 50 50 45 60 58 47 56 51 50 50 50 Minority/Non 46 / 49 50 / 54 56 / 54 47 / 49 55 / 55 53 / 50 49 / 51 48 / 51 50 / 50 FRL/Non 44 / 50 46 / 56 53 / 56 44 / 50 53 / 55 50 / 51 47 / 52 48 / 52 48 / 51 IEP/Non 39 / 50 40 / 54 64 / 54 44 / 50 45 / 56 50 / 51 46 / 51 47 / 50 47 / 51 ELL/Non 48 / 48 63 / 53 52 / 56 52 / 49 59 / 55 58 / 50 53 / 50 49 / 50 54 / 49 Girls/Boys 55 / 42 54 / 52 61 / 48 55 / 44 58 / 52 56 / 46 54 / 47 53 / 47 54 / 46 Total 27.4 44.7 47.2 32.7 45.3 38.4 30.1 33.5 32.2 Grade 6 32.6 50.0 52.4 34.1 43.6 34.8 31.9 35.5 34.5 Grade 7 17.9 32.6 29.0 38.7 43.2 33.1 29.3 33.0 31.1 Grade 8 30.8 50.0 53.8 25.3 48.5 45.6 28.8 32.0 30.9 Percent Catching Up Minority/Non 25.0 / 28.9 34.5 / 51.2 34.1 / 53.6 30.1 / 34.6 41.6 / 48.3 34.8 / 41.0 26.7 / 36.1 29.9 / 40.4 29.9 / 36.8 FRL/Non 24.2 / 31.0 33.3 / 56.5 40.7 / 52.1 28.6 / 36.4 41.0 / 50.0 34.4 / 42.1 26.4 / 36.9 29.6 / 41.4 29.4 / 38.2 IEP/Non 15.8 / 37.3 19.3 / 61.9 29.7 / 65.6 22.1 / 39.5 23.9 / 56.6 28.4 / 45.9 17.4 / 34.3 19.5 / 38.0 18.3 / 37.1 ELL/Non Girls/Boys - / 25.9 - / 43.2 - / 47.8 33.0 / 32.6 45.4 / 45.3 32.7 / 40.0 27.3 / 31.4 27.0 / 36.8 29.7 / 33.5 27.1 / 27.6 48.3 / 42.0 57.4 / 39.4 33.3 / 32.2 50.2 / 41.7 44.2 / 34.8 33.4 / 27.7 37.9 / 30.2 36.2 / 29.2 Percent Keeping Up Total 76.4 81.8 83.3 79.5 83.9 83.9 76.6 78.3 79.6 Grade 6 84.6 86.3 83.8 79.3 84.6 84.7 76.5 77.8 78.5 The state median growth percentile for any grade is 50*.
