We, the people of St. Clare Catholic Parish,
In the Diocese of Belleville, are called by God
in baptism to be disciples of Jesus Christ.
Centered in the Eucharist, and strengthened
by the gifts of the Holy Spirit, we strive to live
the Gospel and further the reign of God.
We do this by creating a vibrant faith
community, by actively promoting justice
and evangelization, and by using our gifts
in the service of God’s people, to give God
glory and reverence all of Creation.

From Our Pastor...
A Happy and Blessed Easter to You!
Praise God for the many signs of Christ’s
Resurrection here at St. Clare!
During these next seven weeks of Easter may each of us seek
out ways that we can be people of the Resurrection in what we
say and do that ‘gives life’ to others.
I call your attention to the insert in the bulletin this weekend on
ten ways to pray and ten ways to get connected to our parish.
Be sure to take a look at the different ways to take the next step
of being a more active member.
Our parish offers a special welcome to all those among us this
weekend who are ‘coming back’ to the Church for Easter. I
pray that if you have been away for a while, the Holy Spirit
will touch your heart with a renewed commitment to return
here every Sunday to “Keep Holy the Sabbath” day. If you
have been away from the Church and have questions or want to
get reconnected please call me at the parish office (#632-3562)
or email me (via our website) to set up a time to visit.

Two important things about next Sunday are:
1. First Holy Communion is at the 10:30 Mass While it will
be a ‘regular’ Mass for all parishioners, do take note that at
Communion time the children will come to Communion first
which will take just a few extra minutes. May they inspire all
of us to be more reverent in receiving Holy Communion.

2. It is also Divine Mercy Sunday a feast to celebrate the
bounteous ways that God’s Mercy helps us on a daily basis! A
large devotional image of Jesus as ‘Divine Mercy’ can be
prayed at in our St. Joseph shrine. Please see the schedule of
prayers for this day on the next page as we are hosting this de- April 19

Easter is our greatest feast of the Liturgical
year. Our redempƟon has been accomplished
and Jesus has overcome death. This is what
we commemorate through each celebraƟon of
the Eucharist which allows us to receive our Lord in Holy
Communion. We must pray, encourage and work to promote
more priestly vocaƟons so that we can conƟnue to have the
opportunity of receiving Communion. Look this week to
encourage a young man to consider entering the seminary to
discern a priestly vocaƟon.
