ATTENDANCE
Please make sure that you call the Rayleigh office 250-578-7229 if your child is going to be away or
late. Please send any notes to your child/ren teacher. This really helps our Safe Arrival process.

- Doors open - 8:20 (please do not send your child too early as there is no supervision before 8:20)

We will run a route that the high school is helping with. Parents are welcome to run with their child.
We encourage all the children to bring in a toonie for Terry.
MEDICAL ALERTS
Please let us know if your son/daughter has any medical issues or allergies. School staff
are not allowed to administer drugs to students unless the proper paperwork has been
signed and certain rules followed. Please contact Ms. Repar at 250-578-7229 should
you require additional information.
SUN PEAKS/RAYLEIGH ELEMENTARY OFFICE HOURS
Please note that the Rayleigh school office hours are from 8:30am to 3:00pm. If you are
attempting to reach the school by telephone, please note that no one is available to answer the
telephone outside of these hours. The school office can be a very busy place, if you are calling and
getting the answering machine, please leave a message and someone will return your call. Thank
you.

SPORTS CORNER
ATTENTION ALL BASKETBALL PLAYERS - Kamloops Hoops is offering fun and
affordable basketball groups this fall for boys and girls grades 2-7!! Check out

After School
Once students are dismissed at 3:45 it is the responsibility of the parents to ensure that their child is
supervised. There is no supervision after school as teachers are busy preparing for the next day.
Students need to leave the school grounds in a timely manner and we expect that parents are either
picking up or have a plan for their son/daughter.
One to One Children’s Literacy Program
Volunteer and help build skills and confidence in
young readers! 1.5 hours a week for 12 weeks in an
Elementary School Mid October to January. Attend a
3 hour Training Session: Thursday, September
29th 6pm - 9pm or Tuesday, October 4th 9am 12noon
at the Henry Grube Education Centre Room 6
