Freedom to learn and discover

expansion value can be read from the dial. Substances studied:
Aluminium, brass and iron. As the device is equipped with a
stand, it is not necessary to use an optical bench.

28011 Thermal conductivity of various met
The basin is filled up with hot water. It is detected what the differences in thermal conductivity are for wood, iron, aluminium and
brass. The change in temperature is displayed on a digital scale.

29040 Iron flask for freezing
Comprising a thick-walled cast iron flask approximately
95 x 25 mm, which can be sealed by means of a well-fitting
screwed-in iron plug. The flask is completely filled with water and
partly immersed in an ice and salt freezing mixture. After a few
minutes the flask will be seen to crack and burst apart due to the
internal pressure exerted by the freezing water.
Radiation indicators
38001 Ball and ring
It is first shown how the ball goes through the hole in the ring.
Then the ball is heated up for about 1 min with a Bunsen lamp.
The thermal motion of the structural particles gets livelier as the
temperature rises. This results in an expansion in the volume of
the piece. When hot, the ball is too big to go through the hole. If
the hot ball stays on the hole for a while, it will soon drop down.
As the ball gets cooler, its volume shrinks. Similarly, as the plate
gets hotter, the area of the hole increases.
29001 Radiation indicator, bright
29003 Radiation indicator, black
Both dishes are filled with an equal amount of water of equal
temperature (over 80°C) to enable monitoring how the temperature changes as a function of time. The observation made is that
the black surface emits thermal radiation better than the bright
surface.
Note! It is necessary to put sheets of expanded polystyrene
under the dishes to prevent thermal energy from being conducted away through the dish bottoms.
29001A Insulating plate, pair
Suited for use as an insulating plate.
29001 and 29003 can be used as the bottom and lid of radiation
indicators.

39200 Optical lamp 12 V 10 W, halogen
A point lamp with robust construction. Suited for use in an optical
bench, together with 39061 holder (2 pcs). Can be used in the
experiments of ray optics when making a test on a table. The
lamp is equipped with a built-in fixed focus lens. Halogen burner
12 V, 10 W, G4. Connection wire. Dimensions 161 x 80 x 74 mm.
39200B Electric cable for optical lamp
Accessories:
38011C Power pack DC 1.5 V...12 V 500 mA
23017 Halogen lamp 12 V 10 W
When experimenting with the set of ray optics, the experiment
is conducted directly on the table surface. Separate optical
benches, stands or lens mounting clamps are not necessary.
The stable, safe and efficient halogen light source points the light
directly along the table surface. If desirable, a point light source
can be mounted on the optical bench. The lenses are equipped
with a grip to protect them from fingermarks, facilitate handling
and prevent them from scratching. The optimal distance of the
lenses is easy to find. You can reproduce optical phenomena by
drawing if you place a piece of paper under the beam. It is easy
to use an angle scale to study how big the refraction and reflection angles are. The set includes seven different lens models, a
mirror model and three slits.

Electricity
Induction furnace
The experiment is conducted so that coil 12966 with 600 turns
is mounted on one of the branches of U-core 12950. Coil 12960
with chute is mounted on its other branch. A small amount of
water is poured in the chute. Then the coil with 600 turns is
connected with 220 V alternating current supply. The observation is that the chute gets hot and the water starts to boil as a
result of eddy currents that are created in the aluminium chute.
12960 Coil 1 turns, cross-section 30x30 mm
Dimensions: length 180 mm, Ø 75 mm.
Welding experiment
When the nail burns until it breaks, what happens to the
incandescent lamp?
The primary circuit has coil 12966 with 600 turns and the secondary circuit has demonstration coil 12961 with 6 turns. Metal
strips are placed between the demonstration coil arms. Welding
can be demonstrated by connecting the primary circuit with 220
V voltage supply. In this experiment, it is also possible to connect an incandescent lamp with the secondary circuit, as in the
nail burning experiment.
Remark 1: As the connection used in the experiment is a socalled open connection, the equipment must be connected with
220 V voltage supply only after the experiment arrangement is
fully ready.

equipment.

• Battery-operated
• Compact size
11121 Voltmeter 0-10V, DC
11135 Coulomb meter
This digital meter displays the magnitude of charge imported
into the input terminals of the device, by measuring the voltage
difference caused by this charge in the capacitor located in the
input channel of the meter. A collector plate is attached to the
positive terminal. As a result of the high internal capacitance (1
µF) of the device, the capacitance of the object measured may be
lower than 0.01 µF. The meter is equipped with a pushbutton that
enables short circuiting of the input channel and thus resetting
of the display. The display of the meter is a 13 mm LCD display.
The measuring range is 0-1999 nC. The device needs a 9 V (PP3)
battery. Dimensions 130 x 92 x 55 mm.

IS-VET furniture system
Furniture
IS-VET furniture system makes it easy
to supervise the valuable equipment.
Each teaching aid has its own designated
place. This maintains good order and
minimises losses. You can use the transfer
trolley to move the equipment easily and
quickly from the storage to the classroom.

IS-VET furniture system
The IS-VET tray, which can be divided into compartments with
partitions of different heights, is the standard shelf in the furniture system. The colour of the shelf tray indicates the topic; in
this way, it is easy to find the right cabinet for the tray.
The contents of the shelves are marked on the shelf tray using
name labels. You can use the transfer trolley to move the trays
easily from the storage to the classroom. The transfer trolley
is available in an open model or with sliding doors. The sliding
doors can be provided with locks.
The equipment sets for the teaching of the various topics in
physics are also available on pre-packed trays. The tray has a
specific place for each item, so the items can be easily taken
out for the experiments and returned to the correct place on the
tray after the lesson.
In addition to easy use, the trays also contribute to the improved condition of the equipment, which makes its life time
longer. Each set is packed on trays with different colours, and
the sets are also equipped with name labels to facilitate identification. The equipment sets can be transferred easily on the
transfer trolleys.
As an alternative to complete sets, all equipment can also be
ordered separately and placed on the trays as required. In this
case, you can determine the contents of the tray and the size of
the compartments on the basis of the items.
