A whirlwind adventure through some of Morocco’s scenic and cultural highlights, this journey brings together
the captivating charms of Marrakech, the breathtaking landscapes of the High Atlas and the beaches of the
Atlantic coast.
Starting amongst the medinas of Marrakech, you’ll have chance to enjoy the distinctive ambience of the city’s
famous Djeema El Fna, with its storytellers and snake charmers, before heading into the snow-capped peaks
of the High Atlas, Africa’s highest mountain range. Amongst these rugged landscapes you will visit Berber
villages and experience something of life in the shadow of North Africa’s highest mountain, Djebel Toukbal.
Winding your way back down onto the plains, you then turn towards the coastal waters of the Atlantic and the
captivating town of Essaouira, one of Morocco’s most picturesque settings. Enclosed behind fortified ramparts,
Essaouira’s mix of quiet beaches and meandering alleyways provides a leisurely end to this Moroccan
adventure.

Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakesh
Arrive in Marrakesh and transfer to your Riad.
Day 2: Marrakesh
Marrakesh is a city to dazzle the senses and today there will be a full day sightseeing tour to introduce you to
its delights. Highlights include the marvelous Djemaa El Fna Square - once a site of public execution, now full
of storytellers and snake charmers; the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Ben Youssef Medersa and the
beautiful Majorelle Gardens. (B)
Day 3: Marrakesh - High Atlas
Spend the morning exploring Marrakesh at your leisure before heading
up into the snow-capped mountains that watch over the city. You will
spend the next three nights in the shadow of North Africa's highest
mountain (Djebel Toubkal 4167m), and the views are spectacular. (B,D)
Day 4: High Atlas
The rugged terrain has a beauty all of its own and walking is an ideal way to enjoy and appreciate this. Today
you will have your own mountain guide who will introduce you to the region and arrange a walk according to
your abilities through the Berber villages and mountains. (B,L,D)
Day 5: High Atlas
Free day to enjoy the fresh mountain air and fantastic scenery. (B,L,D)
Day 6: High Atlas - Essaouira
Winding back down towards and then through Marrakesh, it is on to
Essaouira. Fronted by dramatic sea bastions and surrounded by walled
fortifications, the Atlantic breezes keep this harbour town cool even in
the height of the summer. After checking into your hotel, the rest of the
day is at leisure. (B)
Day 7: Essaouira
Today you are free to spend the day walking the ramparts and exploring the back alleys of the enclosed
Medina. Stroll along the sandy beach and watch the fisherman bring in their haul. (B)
Day 8: Essaouira - Marrakesh
After breakfast transfer back to Marrakesh, to spend some time leisurely sightseeing on your own and
perhaps shopping in the colourful souks. (B)
Day 9: Marrakesh
Transfer to the airport for your return flight. (B)
