Short Story
Fancy Dress & Dance Competition of Kids @ Phase-VIII Mohali
On 30th June, 2015 kid’s competition was organized for all employees of
Phase-VIII office. The competition was divided in two sections with respect to
the age group. Fancy Dress competition was organized for the kids of age
group 3 to 10 years and Dance competition was organized for the kids of age
group 5 to 12 years.
Kids were free to select any theme for fancy dress and any dance number.
More than 20 kids participated. After the competition, few fun games were
also organized for them to have full fun. Approx. 35 kids joined us for this
event.

On 13th June, 2015 quarterly birthday celebrations were organized at
CMPSG Phase-IX Location. More than 100 employees joined the get
together with great enthusiasm and simultaneously snacks were
served. Employees whose birthday falls between April – June’ 2015
were celebrated and greeted with chocolates. Everyone had a gala
time.

Get Together @SSB & IDEAS
To break the monotony and increase energy level of employees, a small
get together was organized in IDEAS & SSB on 4th June, 2015. Fun
game Tambola was played in which all employees participated and
enjoyed. It was followed by snacks.
Inter-Department Bay Decoration Competition
@ CMPSG Phase-VIII Location
On 25th May, 2015 an inter-departmental competition was organized at
CMPSG Phase-VIII location. There were total 4 teams and each team
was free to follow any theme.

On 29th May, 2015 employee engagement activities were conducted for
all departments of CSG. Names of all employees who were present
were written on chits and on draw basis teams were made. This format
of selecting teams helped in mixing employees of different departments
to increase employee connect.
Games like draw you mind, Act the style, Dance to guess, Antakshri, etc
were played in rounds. Each game had two rounds and in each round
points were given. The twist was that in each team all team members
had to perform. The member who had performed in one round couldn’t
perform the round. This was done to make all employees involvement in
games and increase their confidence level. The team which had the
maximum points after all rounds was declared the winner.
All employees enjoyed every bit of it and then had snacks while
interacting.
Fun Games @ LPO
To bring some enthusiasm in employees, a couple of fun games were
conducted in LPO on 19th May, 2015. Both Tambola and Dumbsharads
were played for 30 mins each and the winners were given chocolates.
Along with this business updates were shared with the employees and
snacks served.
Employee Engagement Activities @ IP
Fun games, activities and town hall sessions were organized in IP
group in the First Quarter. Every month i.e. on 8th April, 2015, 11th May,
2015 and 17th June, 2015 an employee engagement activity was
conducted to break the monotony and give a moral boost up.

Business updates were shared, appreciations were given and fun
games like balls in basket, dumb sharads, dance to guess, draw your
mind, etc were played and were followed by snacks.To facilitate the
bond between colleagues, IP group also organized a team lunch at
Buffet Hut, Sector-70, Mohali in the month of June’15. All the team
members gathered at the venue well in time and had a feast.

In the month of May’15 and June’15 various fun activities were
conducted to release the stress of the employees and bring the energy
level up. Fun activities included singing competition, tambola, antakshri,
dumb sharads, etc.
All employees actively participated in the activities and had a great time.
These activities were followed by healthy interaction along with snacks.
Employee Engagement Activities @ Noida
CMPSG-Noida : In the month of May’15 a very refreshing employee
engagement activity took place. All employees were asked to follow the
Black and White color theme.
The event started with fancy dress competition with the use of waste
material. Teams were made and were give specific time to get dressed
up with the maximum usage of waste material. The winning team was
awarded with chocolate box.
Then Bindi Lagao Competition took place. The employees had to put
bindi on the forehead of the female in poster and that to blind folded.
The employee’s team members had to guide to put it in right place and
the other teams had to distract for doing the same.
It was great fun and all employees enjoyed a lot. In the end all
employees had to do the ramp walk so that the judges can come out
with the results best dressed male and female.
This fun and frolic event was followed by snacks.
HCS-Noida: In the month of June’15 full of fun and frolic employee
engagement activity took place. All employees were asked to follow the
Black and White color theme.
Bam Main Dam Competition: Employees were divided into teams.
Teams were asked to plump the balloons and blast them by sitting on
them. The team which concluded the activity at the earliest was
declared the winning team and was awarded a gift hamper.

Water the bucket : Two teams were made in this activity. Employees
had to stand in a queue and water needed to be passed without
exchanging the glasses and also without looking back. The team having
maximum water in bucket was declared the winner and was awarded a
gift hamper. In the end all employees had to do the ramp walk so that
the judges can come out with the results best dressed male and female.
All employees has a gala time and snacks were served in the end.

Weight Loss Contest
was run by IDS
ARGUS for 45 days.
Participants of the
contest made every
effort to reduce their
weight and to take
care of their health.
Rest of the staff also
got conscious for
good health and
started taking small
steps
to
remain
active and in good
shape. At the end of the contest we got one winner “Mangat Verma” who
lost maximum weight. The purpose of entire activity was to have good
health of our employees.
Mother’s Day Celebrations
Mother’s day is a day to give back. It’s a day society celebrates the
women that raised us. It’s a day when all mothers are thanked for all of
their love, hard work and sacrifices.
So, IDS-Argus decided
to appreciate and thank

Go green, World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5, 2015. IDS
Argus employees brought Money Plants to be kept on their desk. They
were also dressed up in Green. Employees made various posters on

On June 26, 2015 (saturday morning) Ms. Sonam, IDS-Argus employee
also trained in Aerobics took Zumba classes for Night Shift Staff.
Employees really enjoyed it as it was a physical workout for them along

Never Give Up!
A group of frogs were traveling through the woods and two of them fell
into a deep pit.
All the other frogs gathered around the pit. When they saw how deep
the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead.

The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit
with all of their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that
they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what
the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down and died.
The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the
crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He jumped
even harder and finally made it out.
When he got out, the other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?"
The frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were
encouraging him the entire time.
This story teaches two lessons:
There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging word to
someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it through
the day.
A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes to kill
them. Be careful of what you say.
Speak life to those who cross your path. The power of words....it is
sometimes hard to understand that an encouraging word can go such
a long way. Anyone can speak words that tend to rob another of the
spirit to continue in difficult times.
