Providers must use a positive approach to child guidance. The
approach is discussed with the child’s parents. The child guidance
methods used by the provider are consistent with both parent handbook and agency policies and are explicitly communicated in a written statement to the parents and children, when developmentally
appropriate. Any child guidance action taken is to be reasonable
given the circumstances.
Children’s Developmental
Milestones

Is your 36 month old able to use a spoon to
feed herself with little spilling?

Is your 24 month old able to run fairly well,
stopping herself without bumping into things
or falling?
Attention Parents
Please ensure you children have
appropriate winter clothing. This
includes snow pants, winter boots,
mittens, toques, and scarves. Outside
playtime is a requirement every day so
it is crucial your children are prepared.
Paper Poppy Craft
What you will need:
■Red and Green construction paper
■Green pipe cleaner
■Scissors
■Glue
What you do:
Have the children draw 4 large hearts on the red construction paper. Next, have them cut out the heart shapes and glue
them all together at the tips. Once done, each child will have a red flower. Now, have the children draw a round circle on
the green construction paper and cut it out. Instruct them to glue the green circle in the centre of their red flower.
Lastly, have them draw leaves on the green construction paper and cut them out. They then glue the leaves to the green
pipe cleaner. And, voila, they now have their very own Paper Poppy for Remembrance Day!
