Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, also extracted and revised in the Sixth Book of Lungteng
Publisher, and to examine if it is suitable to apply the theme to English teaching. The researcher
analyzes the element – duality – from five dimensions as the following : split personality,
boundary-crossings, hypocrisy, character analysis, and setting analysis. And the result of the analysis
is also provided to determine the worthiness in using literary works as the teaching material in English
