improve their skills of speaking Chinese

Eligibility: Individuals of Chinese descent that study at a Chinese school or
high school. Ages 6 – 18.
Non-Chinese people who study Chinese from the age of 14 & up can
apply. (Age group base on April 20, 2013)

Time limit 2 ½ minutes to 3 minutes
(Points will be deducted if the time is over or below the time limit)

Content(25%) ,Pronunciation(25%)
Tone(25%)
Expression and Attire(25%)
Finals:
Table Topic (20%) , Content(20%) ,Pronunciation(20%) Tone(20%)
and Attire(20%). The highest score is 100, lowest scores is 60.
Advance:
Expression
Each category will advance 8 contests to Finals. Champion, 2nd place,
3rd place will be decided at final for each category. Between 12 – 5
contestants in each category, there will not be preliminaries contest.
Champion and 2nd place will be chosen at first round of competition. If
less than 5 contestants, only participation award will be given.
Prize:
Champion: Commendation Trophy Cash $120
2nd place Commendation Trophy Cash $75
3rd place Commendation Trophy Cash $50
All contestants have a trophy and commemorative T-shirt
