Academic Credit with Brookhaven College for Study Abroad
We are happy to learn of your interest in participating in the Multinational Academic
Program (MAP), a study abroad immersion language experience offered through
Brookhaven College. We have attached some documents that describe the program and
will give you information on how to obtain academic credit while engaging in immersion
language study at one of our partner language institutes.
To get started, look over the attached documents. Instructions concerning how to fill out
and return the forms are included. It is essential (and will save you time in the long run)
that you read them carefully. Together they have a great deal of information that describes
how the program works. Afterwards, you will enroll in Directed Studies for Study Abroad
(Individualized Distance Learning) courses at Brookhaven College. Don't delay submitting
your free admission application to Brookhaven College through our Dallas County
Community College District web site at:
https://www1.dcccd.edu/catalog/admiss/require.cfm?loc=2
Please note that the “Online” admission option is NOT available for applicants who:
a. Were formerly enrolled as DCCCD credit students but have not registered within the
past year.
b. Have not yet graduated from high school.
c. Are international students, i.e. neither a U.S. citizen nor a permanent resident.
Students in categories a, b, or c must submit the Application for Admission by mail or
fax. Please download, print out, and complete the application available at:
www.dcccd.edu/formspdf/admapp.pdf
You will find step-by-step instructions and important information in the attached
documents.
I look forward to hearing from you.
