INGREDIENTS CONSUMERS CAN FEEL SAFE AND CONFIDENT ABOUT
GROWING CONCERN IN CONTACT ALLERGENS IS DRIVING CHANGE IN THE INGREDIENTS USED IN FORMULATIONS.
Within the personal care industry we are seeing the growing
trend of top companies sharing a list of the fragrance
ingredients they use in their formulations. This level of
information is what consumers are demanding in the products
they use. Transparency and high quality ingredients are two of
our core pillars here at Sigma-Aldrich.
In this edition of our application guide, we focus on our growing
line of fragrance ingredients that meet the IFRA guidelines. We
review all of our fragrance ingredients and verify that they do
not contain any prohibited substances identified in Annex II
or Annex III of EU Regulation No. 1223/2009. Furthermore, we
review our ingredients according to the 48th amendment in the
IFRA standards for restricted, prohibited or specified substances.
We strive to offer the utmost transparency to our customers to
help develop safe products for consumers.
