Environment 25 YEARS OF ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE IT ALL ADDS UP In the past 16 years, Envirotec has collected over 120 million litres of used oil — the same amount of liquid required to fill 48 Olympic-sized swimming pools. The carbon savings from the past three years of Envirotec’s used oil materials collection has totaled over 36,000 metric tons — the equivalent of the carbon sequestered by almost 1 million tree seedlings grown for 10 years. Envirotec has processed over 1.17 million litres of latex paint for recycling since 2006 — over one litre of recycled paint for every man, woman and child in Saskatchewan. If stretched end to end, the metal recovered by Envirotec from paint can handles alone would be able to reach the International Space Station... and over 50% o f the way back t o Earth. Since our first days of operation in 1990, Envirotec has had a number of extraordinary achievements in each of its service divisions — all owed to a passion for maintaining a safe and clean Saskatchewan. We constructed a multi-million dollar diversified Transfer, Storage and Disposal Facility — the first (and only) one of its kind in Saskatchewan. We invented the equipment that helped establish Envirotec as the sole processor of all collected paints and aerosols in the province. We have grown to become Saskatchewan’s leading environmental service provider with nearly 200 dedicated employees and an impressive fleet of over 130 specialized service units. Envirotec currently collects, transports and processes approximately half of the province’s used oil materials. We have a long track-record of safely and responsibly diverting large volumes of various waste from entering local landfills or other parts of the environment. From small spills to major train derailments, we have also spent over two decades ensuring that all environmental emergencies we respond to in Saskatchewan are safely managed, mitigated and remediated to regulatory requirements. At Envirotec, our love of Saskatchewan has translated into 25 years of extraordinary environmental benefits.
