Frederick William ROBINSON Provided by Shanidar Funeral Services Obituary Born: Friday, March 21, 1924 Died: Monday, January 16, 2017 Frederick William Robinson was born March 21, 1924 to Henry Charles "Harry" Robinson and Ivy May Pope. Fred was one of ten children, four of whom died in infancy. He was the youngest of the boys, John and Harvey and had three sisters Florence, Sheila and Marion. Fred married Ethel May Sedgwick of Elrose on October 16, 1953 and moved to the home of his uncle John Crayley Robinson Sr. on the NE 1-27-20. They raised three sons Wayne, Brian and Perry. Ethel and Fred remained on the farm for 54 years before relocating to Eston in 2009. They especially enjoyed many years of old-time dancing with clubs in Rosetown and Kindersley. Fred was predeceased by his wife Ethel in 2012; son Wayne; siblings John, Harvey, Marion and Sheila; father Harry; and mother Ivy May. Also predeceased by brothers-in-law Fred Flaig, Morris Quick, Bob Mullis, Martin Gerstel, Jim Nelson and Gordon Sedgwick; sister-in-law Dorothy Simons; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Fred is survived by sons Brian (Brenda) and Perry (Verna); grandchildren Barrett, Kristen, Riana, Darrin (Laura), Shelby, Nicki, Lori, and Tara and great-grandchildren Tucker and Freddie Maye. Also survived by sister Florence Nelson; sisters-in-law Helen Quick, Norma Flaig and Vivian Sedgwick and brother-in-law Grant (Phyllis) Sedgwick; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Service was held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrew's United Church, Eston, Sask. with Reverend Barbara MacNaughton officiating.
