A NIGHT AT THE SPEAKEASY

A NIGHT AT THE SPEAKEASY
A DINING AND ENTERTAINMENT EVENT
AT THE HISTORIC BUBE’S BREWERY COMPLEX
MOUNT JOY, PENNSYLVANIA
WEDNESDAY EVENING, APRIL 26, 2017
As part of your itinerary at the Pennsylvania Public Transportation Association Conference, you
are invited to attend an evening at one of Pennsylvania’s premier historic attractions. Bube’s
Brewery in Mount Joy, Pa. is a historic brewery and tavern/hotel complex that is on the National
Register of Historic Places.
The evening you will be visiting us, we will bring alive a part of this storied building’s past as a
speakeasy and underground hideout. In the 1920’s, the tavern barroom served as a speakeasy,
the hotel rooms upstairs often hosted bootleggers, and the underground brewery cellars were
used to hide illegal liquor. Our costumed staff will encourage you to explore our multi-faceted
property to discover a variety of interesting spaces and you will encounter several food stations
with many different food items for your enjoyment along the way.
Your favorite beverage will be available at several stations as well, including our fully intact original bar from 1879. If you enjoy craft beer, don’t miss trying one of our Bube’s beers brewed on
premise in our own micro brewing system. Tours of our complex will be available every half hour
starting at our main lobby entrance. We look forward to hosting you for an enjoyable and memorable evening!
