Introduction to KFUEIT, Rahim Yar Khan
Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology (KFUEIT) is a higher education
institution located in Rahim Yar Khan, Pakistan. KFUEIT is a public sector University established as a first
Engineering and IT university in south Punjab. It is named after the famous Sufi poet Khwaja Ghulam
Fareed. He is considered one of the most famous 19th century Sufi poet, scholar and writer. Establishment of
KFUEIT is a dynamic initiation of Government of Punjab. This institute aspires to be a Centre of excellence
for Engineering and IT which acts as an effective agent of change and model for others to emulate. It adds up
greatly to the professional education system of the region. Initially University started its administrative
operations and academic activities mainly in the premises of Government College of Technology Rahim Yar
Khan. Later it moved to its own campus in January 2016. KFUEIT now stretches over a campus of 220 acres
located on Abu Dhabi Road (5 km from Dari Sangi, near Aman garh). The University has currently around
990 students, with over 40 teaching staff mostly PhDs. New departments construction work is moving on a
rapid pace and is projected to complete in early 2017. With the completion of departments construction, new
undergraduate and graduate degree programs are expected to commence in fall 2017. KFUEIT being the first
engineering and IT university of the region attracts best of lot and with its state of art infrastructure it poses to
be one of the leading universities of the country.

The Suppliers / Service Providers with nationwide supplies / services with own facilities will be
preferred;
The participating organization should have expertise in their relevant field;
The organization should have its own expertise in all respect;
The organization should at-least have 1-year professional experience in respective categories for
working with reputable clients;
All participants of the Registration/Prequalification process will be required to submit Security
deposit of Rs. 1000/- against each applied category in form of Bankers Cheque/Draft to be refunded
in case of non-registration/prequalification;
Tenders should be submitted on Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information
Technology prescribed format with stamp of the organization otherwise will be rejected;
The participants must submit valid NTN certificate, last 6-months bank statement or certificate of
financial soundness or annual report and list of clients with contact person (regular and occasional)
on KFUEIT specified format;
If required, the selected / short-listed organizations will be informed in due course of time;
The financial bids / quotations will be invited from selected / short-listed organizations as and when
desired;
KFUEIT, Rahim Yar Khan, reserves the rights to accept or reject any or all organizations / firms
applied for registration / pre-qualification on the basis of technical grounds or any other reason
without informing them;

Terms & Conditions for Selected / Short-listed Suppliers / Service Providers

The pre-qualification / registration status of vendors / service-providers is valid from the date of
Registration till the end of the financial year in which the registration is issued irrespective of the
period left for operation during that financial year or until de-registered.
The renewal of registration /pre-qualification is granted on the year-to-year basis for the duration of
each financial year, subject to satisfactory performance of the suppliers / service-providers in the
previous year.
The registered / pre-qualified organizations will be preferred for inviting sealed financial bids /
quotations;

The financial quotations / bids should be provided within the specified time period;
The rates should inclusive of all applicable taxes whenever financial bid will be quoted;
The rates should also include delivery and installation of relevant items, materials and accessories at
Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology including all means of
transportation;
As and when desired depending on the products / services, earnest money may be required on
inviting financial bids / quotations;
The sealed financial quotations may / may not be opened in front of bidders;
The retention money/performance guarantee may be required in case of products / services warranty;
The bank guarantee against advance may be required in case of specialized / technical products
having long-term commitment;
The advance payment (if required) should not exceed maximum 20% subject to approval of the
University;
The University will not be liable to change Purchase / Work Order if prices of supply and other
materials will increase due to inflation or any other factor;
The invoice will be processed after completion of work and its satisfaction/inspection certificate by
concerned department / officers (if required);
The payment will be made within 30 days after submission of invoice and receiving
satisfaction/inspection certificate;
The delivery challan should also be submitted for all part deliveries;
The task will be undertaken on the receipt of Purchase / Work Order and according to the
specification provided or finally agreed;
In case of any change in the specification due to which prices are affected, the same must be
informed to Procurement. Deptt. in advance;
The work should be completed within with specified time period after that penalty will be imposed;
Incomplete proposal or those received after deadline date and time will not be entertained;
In case of Tax exemption, tax exemption certificate will be required along with Invoice;
